Friends coming today and I have conjunctivitis.

Bloody annoying, will boiled water do to bathe eyes? I CBA to drive 40 miles round trip for a pharmacy.

Not too long now until new job in the real world begins.

I have some targets, going for 5/5 each day

1. NSD unless cash raised by sale
2. AF day
3. List an item for sale
4. Walk dogs myself
5. No napping

In good news, I've sold £40 worth of hay if the buyer shows today. This will offset some of the money spent on logs.

If you don’t have eyewash or artificial tears to rinse with, concentrate on keeping the lid clean (separate cloth/cotton wool/tissue for each eye obviously. Moorfields eye hospital have online advice for at home treatment.

How annoying Al, NHS suggests boiled water, Mrs E sometimes uses boiled water with salt in it.

Today is a 2/5 day. No napping, NSD, nothing listed and no dogs walked yet. Had a teensy bit of wine as friends for lunch.

Al, sorry to hear about your conjunctivitis - I hope it didn't interfere too much with your friends' visit.  Boiled water sounds good, and 40 miles is a looong way.

I really hope we have a log burner in our imaginary next house.

I've always used cooled boiled water - I used to have an eye bath so I could swish it - but after it got lost (thrown?) I used folded kitchen towel/ paper liberally soaked in it. If you catch it early it's pretty effective

I think it is an allergic reaction now. I had my eyebrows and lashes tinted on Thurs, I'm normally fine but I am now swollen around the eyes like I've had free botox too!!

I have egg cups! 

She did, good as gold.

DD2 V.wobbly this morning. Daughterofsatan is fighting the bows off some Christmas crackers. It's a gorgeous day.
