Thanks @beanielou 😊
@savingholmes, it was interesting how it felt in my body to revisit those times again. It was heavy and energy sapping, I found myself reaching for junk again … But I think it was important in a number of ways - there were plus points: I could see my resilience and professionalism, I remembered how much I learned and contributed there and how much people regretted me leaving. But my energy levels are improving again - in spite of my current gloopiness I was able to do my worst jobs today, so the weekend is clear of them, as well as juggling PC nonsense, birthday presents for my dad. Etc etc This feels more like me 😊

Early start this morning to get a load of washing onto the whirly before I headed off into wales to get my hair cut 😊 I’m all swishy and shaggy again and I persuaded him to allow it to grow a bit longer as I’m enjoying the length and I might as well whilst I still can 😉
Headed straight home for a very swift cup of tea before being collected by a local friend for lunch in a local cafe 😊 We had a good old chit chat and seem to be becoming each other’s accountability buddies for getting stuff done 😊 Mine are dust the lounge and my bedroom. Hers are to join the library and go back to tai chi next week 😊
Came home, whisked the washing off the whirly (almost dry) and onto the airer in the conservatory. Whilst waiting for Toscos I made a start on my bedroom:
- Put all my summer shoes away in their boxes and into the bottom of the wardrobe
- Removed everything from the floor and found homes for it all including some stuff that has been ‘stuck’ there for ages (if I’m looking for my fighting sticks next summer, they are in the over the stairs cupboard, in the office, along with my flutes, okay? 😉)
- Stripped down and cleaned my top of chest of drawers that acts as my dressing table. Decided what I use every day and needs to be out and what doesn’t. Rehomed or designated as CS that which did not return. Rearranged my ‘dressing table’.Ran out of steam by this point so stopped and chilled with the Mayfair witches for a bit. There is more to do, but having started it will be easier to continue 😊
Wrangled toscos, with Mr KK’s help 😊
EDIT: Managed a couple of surveys this afternoon which brought me over £5 (my arbitrary cash out trigger number for qm33) so sent £5.17 and a 76p OP off to Coop 😊🥳
Reminded Mr KK that he’s been talking about setting up a modelling station - so we did it this evening ❤️

Lazy start here today 😊
Got Mr KK’s washing in the line early ish and in spite of the mist, thanks to a little late sun, it came in fairly dry. Only needed a slight bumble to finish it off.
Went out fuelled the car (remembered to ask for a VAT receipt for my mileage claim!), bought shortbread, sugar for Mr KK’s coffee and light bulbs for the dining room (the spare bulb in there was SO bright it was like being in an interrogation space!). New bulb is much more civilised 😊👏
Mr KK has been preparing for the militaria sale he will have a stall at next weekend. There are helmets leaving the building! (Well, theoretically at least … 😉) I helped him pitch a 1944 tent he’s hoping to pre sell. He’s already pre-sold a Champ cross-charger or some such … 😊
I dealt with some visual snags in the garden: cleared the collapsed and dying rhubarb leaves, cut down and chopped up dead lily stems, weeded one small section of one bed and watered my new pots and plantings 😊
After lunch, between us we had a good go at the conservatory, clearing unwanted packaging, throwing away some things and designating as CS some others. I also requested a return in a modelling bench that we don’t think Mr KK will use and I packed that up in the original packaging.Had a quick dash through the greenhouse, chucking plants in for the winter. Managed to get copper collars around them all 😊
Went next door to ‘meet’ the new neighbours - we already know them but not well - and their two dogs. I got VERY licked! 😂
Just done all the financial updates. Moved the wayleave payment (£88.08) and the Octopods accrual refund (£599.31) into the joint house savings, which is now looking healthier at £812.93. I need not to forget that £600 of that balance is the buffer we might need at the end of winter to clear the energy costs … But it’s good to have that house EF looking healthier again! 😊
I think that’s about it and I really should get away from screens now … 😊

And the day starts here with me having forgotten to turn on the dishwasher last night … 🙄 A very FWP! But it’s left me a bit worried for my state of mind / functionality …
