A win, verily, I have a win to report!!
After having to delete my car from the expenses system and input it again (somehow I had set it up as a company not a personal car) I have FINALLY submitted 4 mileage claims for a grand total of £248.68!!
I will have to wait another 2 weeks now, for my boss to return from honeymoon to approve these, but at least they are in the system now and I have been able to clear the related folder of receipts, insurance, MOT and tax documents off my desk!

I've bled the radiators, topped the system up, bled the radiators again. And moved the robot hoover downstairs to remove the dog hair from the sitting room. And then maybe from other bits of the house.0

As long as it doesn't rain - i didn't set foot out the door today, and therefore forgot that i'd left the washing out. So it will have had 2 nights out now 😂 assuming I remember to bring it in tomorrow, that is!
Well done on sorting your mileage claim 😊😊2 -
Had a rough day yesterday - had to take a younger member of staff to task. I was trying to make a serious point about something inappropriate he had done with a customer product set up and he kept giving me the brush off.
I turned on my full automotive / aerospace / risk based / cold, white, controlled Quality Manager 'anger' and 'wiped the floor with him', in a very professional manner. He's a lovely, talented, young, ambitious guy, but a bit spoilt and he literally sobbed and protested ... It was a bit grim (for both of us), but there is a pattern of behaviour here that needs stopping. You just can't take risks 'for the enjoyment' .... <eye roll, sigh>
That woke me up at 4am with a churning head (I was actually dreaming about my parents house being dirty in ways it never actually is - very surreal) - I think was the stress of yesterday manifesting, which meant I didn't really get back to sleep again.
I have also, boxed myself into a corner with a promise I made to a friend (the 3 crochet pieces) and that is stressing me out, as I am 'late' on delivering it and I am seeing her for lunch this weekend ...
Plus I have the accounts to cross-check / confirm for the PC and somehow I have to start creating a risks register for them ...
I am an idiot, but I am a doing-my-best-idiot .... <shrug>
My KK is taking himself off to a military vehicles club meeting tonight, with a mate, so at least I will get some quiet time this evening
My standard monthly £110 OP went our yesterday and the standard monthly Mortgage payment went out this morning so should have new balance tomorrow, maybe ...?

Well done for dealing with your employee in a professional manner. I'm sorry they ended up upset, sounds rough for everyone, but hopefully they will remember. You are preventing them from doing something more serious down the line and hopefully they will come to see that at some point.
Hope today is easier!2
