Just popping in.Been a tough week, partly because I am expecting too much of myself.Disappointed that today’s assessment resulted in non-conformities but … it would have been a miracle if it hadn’t after only 5 months there, a primary focus on H&S when I began and the state the QMS was in when I arrived …
Moving on …
I have now read my target 52 books this year 😊
Booked a tip run for Saturday afternoon (a job Mr KK always appreciates me doing as he gets grumpy with all the screens).
Had a conversation about Christmas lunch this year … MiL doesn’t know what she wants to do. Doesn’t want to go to her daughter’s because she ends up stuck there for days. Mr KK is floating the idea of her coming here …sigh … and then dropped the ‘It might be the last time …’ phrase … 😳🙄 I said I wasn’t mad keen on her coming for Christmas lunch as that is my time to decompress, but if we are to, then we should invite her best mate from across the road as that will make the conversation flow better. Mr KK happy to be able to offer this to his mum … I am officially a saint! 😂
Breakfast prepped for work tomorrow and I am already showered as am heading out to see Downton this evening with a village friend - hopefully this will be good decompression for me! 😊

Recommendation for sainthood on its way. Although I should confess that I ended up liking my MIL far more than her son & his father who he landed up taking after. I pay a lot more attention to heredity than I used to.4

That is saintly indeed! We are in the 'it might be the last time' cycle with Mr C's dad 🙄 and have been for 3 or 4 years now 😬 Fortunately we don't host here, but I do miss my lazy Christmases at home, and I fear my own family may start expecting the same thing (not til they're very old or very ill though!)3

Hope you enjoyed Downton - I went last night and enjoyed it.
I'm getting my head around adding 3 extra peeps to xmas dinner here - non of them social persons, all with ASD so could add a whole new dimension to my already neurodiverse table - would be 7 with ND and 2 neurotypical ! Could be a long day for me 🤣🤣🤣Sealed pot challenge 822

Saint KK has a nice ring to it …DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I've been considering asking a neighbour to Christmas dinner but have enough problems with Christmas in general that I'm reluctant to do so.
The neighbour is a very nice bloke in his 70s (I think), has lived alone for yonks in the same house he was raised in, has a very few friends, and has recently had a very minor stroke. But he also is in my art group, is a brilliant artist and a very good conversationalist. Well he lives alone so he likes to talk when he's got others around him, not surprisingly.
But I don't think I'm ready for sainthood.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
