Loving the home grown tomatoes treat- I did not know there was a late PB draw to do with surnames?
I have just checked mine and nothing but maybe its not been drawn yet??DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

You'll notice (if you track the PB winners thread, as i do - it reminds me to check!LadyWithAPlan said:Loving the home grown tomatoes treat- I did not know there was a late PB draw to do with surnames?

) that people start reporting in from the first of the month. But mine always out on the 2nd / 3rd of the month as my surname starts with a 'T'.
I think all the draws happen at once, it's the reporting that is staggered.

Mr KK has been a hero this evening and secured the power cable under the duel fuel bathroom radiator - c. 14 months after it was put in! 😉
I have been noodling about on the boards here looking at vegetarian recipe ideas. Off the back of that I have bought yet more recipe books (only two! both second hand 😉) and this evening the GH one arrived. I have sat down and read through the whole thing and written up a list of recipes I want to try from it. 😊

My boss’s boss came in today (which my boss was a bit nervous about). It seemed to go very well and B’sB has given us a big leg up on the SWPs etc that we need …
Apparently I made a good impression and boss thanked me for ‘bigging’ him up - I didn’t, I just told the truth of how I find him to work with 😊🤷♀️ Boss is going to give the whole site feedback on Monday morning on what B’sB said about how we have improved (I asked B’sB if he had seen any improvement and B’sB waxed lyrical - it helped that he’d babysat-run the business for two months before my boss could start at the beginning of this year, so he knew quite how bad it was last year and what a transformation my boss has managed.)
Told a co-manager that my quality engineer and I would be fully taking over customer complaints and supplier returns after next week. She lit up as the current person doing it is incompetent, arrogant, lazy and negative and therefore ineffective, which is making co-manager’s life much harder …
Chloe is going and out of the cat carrier (now with lid and door in place) without any angst, ferreting after treats 😉 … 🤞 for getting her to the Cattery tomorrow. In crazy dialogue via text with Cattery owner’s wife, after she asked what time we would be bringing Chloe over tomorrow, about how her husband wanders as much as Chloe and people keep bringing him home even though she’s trying to lose him! You couldn’t meet a kinder, gentler person than Cattery owner so it’s ludicrously funny! 😉😂Mr KK cooked tea tonight (he had a chop) so I did some more decluttering in the office 😊 I have finished going through the two top drawers in the filing cabinets and got rid of anything not obviously useful, or in the case of cards, that don’t spark joy. I have a S0ny digital camera I might try selling and two pieces of sterling silver tableware that my mother bought me that we will NEVER use (I have better things to do than polish silver! 😉😂😂) ditto. The cards I have ousted are off to the charity shop as they might help someone else with decoupage or even to give as cards 😊
Whilst going through the big drawer I found a whole load of photos of my back and front gardens from when I lived in the Welsh valleys. For the first time in a very long time I stopped and really looked at them. It was a lovely garden with lots of flowers. I miss it, but not in a bad way. It’s just that was my first proper garden and the garden I had to leave without saying goodbye to or taking anything from when I ran away from my sociopathic ex … It’s a strange feeling - a combination of satisfaction that it looked that nice and a wistfulness …
Have a friend on FB messaging asking when we can meet up. I’ve always felt slightly guilty about this friend as she got all the way through the pandemic without catching COVID and then I took her to a flute concert and both she and her partner went down with it! (And I did too, for the third time 🙄). To have her asking for a meet up is lovely 😊❤️

Enjoy your meet up.
I occasionally miss plants from previous gardens - but not the Ex. Your garden continues to come on a treat. They require so much maintenance though sometimes... I haven't been good at that at all this year. Hopefully I'll get on top of things soon.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks @savingholmes and @PennysIntoPounds ❤️
I’ve now:
- emailed L0ndon Camera Exch@nge in the local rural city to see if they are interested in buying my S0ny digital camera - saves an hours drive-parking-walking if they aren’t 😊
- emailed my dad to ask him not to hug me so hard he bruises my ribs (seriously) and offer him some branches from my bay tree 😊
- Started a bag for Chloe - her food and her jabs passport are in there so far. Toys and a work shirt of Mr KK’s will go in there tomorrow. 😉
- Emailed PC clerk to suggest a work around for me not being able to access the PC bank account for the monthly audit she needs - namely a screenshot with a date / timestamp from the PC screen. We’ll see whether she thinks that’s acceptable.
