Got out in the garden early and …

- Got two loads of washing in the line - all nicely dried 😊👏

- Planted up troughs and biggish pots with the poor strawberry plants that have been hanging around for week and already have green fruit on them! 

- First harvest of rhubarb - mainly so I could actually get into the path by broad beans bed! 😂

- Cut back the dead bits of one of the big hardy fuchsias we have and then pruned it to a shape that meant we can see out from the patio 😊

Wrangled Toscos delivery whilst Mr KK was building the retaining wall. 

- Weeded, aka beat back the bindweed, the shallots bed.

in the hot spell after lunch I admitted defeat and sat on the sofa in the cool and finished a novel. 

- Helped Mr KK do some green weed clearing from the big pond and cut down a big grass clump that was blocking the view from the refurbished bench 😊

- Made a start on the same activity in the broad beans bed …. Will continue tomorrow.

The house is a tip, but I still managed HM pizzas this evening so not so bad, hey? 😉

Chloe had her first time outside since her accident today (barely three weeks but she was becoming angsty - she has healed sooo fast! 😳). She had a lovely time! Lots of sniffing, zoomies, poking about in the undergrowth and no sign of her going anywhere near the main road! 

We are now EXHAUSTED…. ❤️🤩😊😉

If only! She was caught coming back from the road direction this morning by Mr KK - he gave her a proper telling off (most unlike him) - she did look a bit sheepish …

She seems to have mainly stayed in the garden since then and has a new spot behind the greenhouse.

She's not very well camoflaged is she?! My two tabbies are quite hard to spot at times in the garden. 

I hope she stays away from the road, but I she'll probably keep to her usual territory. I tell mine off when they're too near the road-side of the wood (there's really only one that goes that far - as far as I know), but they don't care. However, they're happy and have a nice life - they'd be miserable as indoor cats, so being an outdoor cat despite all the risks that come with it is the best option.

Done the financials this morning and set a new YNAB month. It’s all a bit messy atm, as I have had to shuffle funds from savings to cover my current account as the P3tPlan cheque hasn’t cleared yet and I wanted to pay the CC off before the working week tsunami began and I forgot to do it … Also, I’m not EXACTLY sure what my income will be from my new job so I have deliberately left a buffer in my current account until I get my first full pay. There may be an OP mixed in there but I shall have to wait and see …

Spent a good time repotting seedlings in the shed as well this morning - I had no idea that achillea seedlings were so wee! They can give nicotiana a run for their money! The courgette has been deeply buried in a deeper pot to encourage rooting from the stem 😊
Sowed the pea seeds I saved from last year after soaking them overnight as they looked so very, very dry. First time of ever saving veg seeds so I am 🤞

I can see new shoots coming from the Black eyed Susan in the conservatory pot that I thought I might have killed after cutting it hard back - yaay! ❤️😊

Chloe has been out for the morning and has now gone off to bed! 😉❤️😂

Next job is to make a rhubarb crumble for Mr KK’s delectation 😊😉❤️
