Yeah to the commute and to a good first weekDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @beanielou, @Brewerspride, @maggiem, @Twolabsandacat, @debtfreewannabe321, @LadyWithAPlan 😊
It’s been such a shift from cold weather (lighting the wood burner every night) to this hot weather (thank goodness the nights are still cool!) I feel like I am ricocheting! 😉😊
Didn’t post yesterday as I went out to dinner with the recruiter (at his expense) and the UK QSHE Manager he also recruited. We had a nice evening but I was shattered by the time I got home and slept very badly (I didn’t sit down until 9.30pm and that isn’t long enough to ‘land’ before I go to bed).Getting gradually more into the swing of what is required and got so much done or moved things on so much today I won’t be able to tell you … but, I did quash the slightly cheeky attempt to allow shorts in the shop floor in hot weather. 😉 I did agree to branded vest tops with wide straps that the women like to wear.Chloe’s surgery refund cheque has arrived, need to get that banked 😊
The little madam herself is getting pretty grumpy at being kept in but is still limping …. 🤷♀️

😉😂❤️
Tried to scan in the cheque but nada - very odd, long, shallow, skinny shape so it doesn’t fit the predefined shape in the app … 🙄 Still, I have time, after my early finish on Fridays now, to swank into town and bank it the old fashioned way, don’t I?! 😊👏🤩
Got out into the garden for a good watering session of the pots and some of the transplants this evening - a few things a bit stressed but nothing lost as yet … 🤞Some lovely scents out there ❤️

Well that was an intense but good week 😊
Left work at 1pm today - it is going to take some getting used to! It really feels like I am playing hookie …! 😂🤩😊Also met the groundsman today and we discussed where to mow and where not to mow as we have bee orchids on our site! 👏❤️🤩
I will be honest and say I took it fairly easy today as the last four days have been really full on and I am tired now … I did finally get email set up on my work phone, asked 2 chippies for quotes for fixing the fire doors and tried to do some training - discovered I need a headset for it and ordered that. That kind of low level stuff.Got into town and banked the Chloe insurance cheque 👏😊
Treated myself to a lunch in a nice little cafe.
Came home and chilled on the sofa for a bit until the temperatures dropped. Then I got outside and reduced a big shrub by the gates at the entrance to the drive - that’s a job that has been LOOKING AT ME for a long time so I am delighted to have got that one done 😊
Chloe is getting very restless and very vocal. I have said all along that it’s when she can do zoomies that she can go out - she’s doing zoomies … barely two weeks after the op though! 😳 I think we will have to let her out for a bit tomorrow, closely supervised …
