Fab news on Chloe! Onwards and upwards love Humdinger xx1

Aaaand on the first night Little Miss Chloe broke out of the crate and made her way up to Mr KK’s bed for love and cwtches … 😳🙄 (We are such lousy pet owners.)
We are giving up on the crate for now. The stress on her mentally of being kept in the crate and physically on her leg of trying / succeeding in breaking out is not worth it. Tbh, I’m more interested in getting her meds into her - total fail on this last night. One thing she must have done when out is eat some of her kibble that was on the floor in the kitchen. I have taken that up now so we can control, her intake more.
I am setting up a litter tray under the stairs with compost for her - I think the wooden pellets of the usual stuff will be hurting her sorely tootsies and compost or soil is more appealing to cats that normally toilet outside apparently. When she deigns to appear for food, I will dose up her usual food and see if she is willing to eat that.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Hugs for Chloe, and you (and your bank balance!) Hope you can keep her treating at least, even if she not in the crate x2

Maybe sitting with Chloe on the couch as much as possible will let her rest ! Great excuse for a movie marathon or reading /sewingDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Another recommendation for the wonders of FortiFlora, I have an old rescue cat who has kidney disease and sometimes 'forgets' to eat. He loves a bit of FF sprinkled on his food [Renal Diet]. Its not cheap so I usually try ad make a sachet last the whole day.1

Years ago my parents cat was in a similar situation, and he used to bang his head on the walls of his prison till they let him out. He would then sleep quietly with his preferred human which was far better for him.Hurrah on the germinations, hope you get some garden time.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Every time someone mentions how dreadfully difficult it is to get meds into cats I'm so thankful for my Wimsey. He was food obsessed to the point that even shaking the tablet pot would have him running to get his share. Hold a tab in the hand and he'd gobble it down and shout for more. I'll send some Wimsey way vibes to Chloe and hopefully she'll be happily purring her thanks to you both for looking after her so well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
