Well done on the steps. Been there on the plants.

You seem more at peace in this job despite the newness?
At peace? I dunno. More just resigned to / accepting of whatever comes. I’m in a strange dynamic where the woman I am taking some of her role from so she can move onto running projects keeps flipping between telling me that I should do the job as I see fit and saying ‘don’t do that!’ 🤷‍♀️🙄😂 Also, ever since I started there has been a disaster of a project for a major group customer and I have been endlessly checking parts, rejecting them, rechecking the remade ones and writing reports on them - something an engineer used to do for me - it’s like I’m being paid quite a lot of money to do something easy I left behind 20 years ago! 😉 My part in that project finally ended today with a shipment so I’m hoping that we can get back onto the handover again …

So far, it’s easy, mundane and a bit boring. I have headspace leftover for living which was something I wanted. 😊

This is not a bad thing being paid well for easy stuff!
Your morning chores are impressive and you getting the office clear for 2025 sounds a great use of time as well.

Well done on  the steps.. I am walking to the gym again - 2.5 miles each way... but as long as its crisp and dry I dont mind, and definitely helps the steps.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I certainly felt better for it! I kind of miss my old jobs for being active but they went too far into the active and yet this one seems to be perhaps 7-8000 steps a day tops which isn't enough for me to feel sufficiently exercised (no pleasing some of us eh 🤣🤣).
