You seem more at peace in this job despite the newness?
So far, it’s easy, mundane and a bit boring. I have headspace leftover for living which was something I wanted. 😊

Your morning chores are impressive and you getting the office clear for 2025 sounds a great use of time as well.
Well done on the steps.. I am walking to the gym again - 2.5 miles each way... but as long as its crisp and dry I dont mind, and definitely helps the steps.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I certainly felt better for it! I kind of miss my old jobs for being active but they went too far into the active and yet this one seems to be perhaps 7-8000 steps a day tops which isn't enough for me to feel sufficiently exercised (no pleasing some of us eh 🤣🤣).MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Wow, that’s a good walk, especially in this cold! 🥶debtfreewannabe321 said:I certainly felt better for it! Steps not great but not dreadful at 7.4K. Quite a bit of junk eating this evening, but again not dreadful. 😉
Getting really tired of this cold, all my tendons and ligaments slowly tightening up m feeling smothered and restricted in layers and layers, having to scrape the windscreen at both ends of my day, being constantly slightly cold, my hands drying up and going flaky / splitting … CH had only got the house up to 14 degrees after being on for 90 minutes by the time I got home this evening … 🥶 It’s actually quite draining.Didn’t do a lot before going out this morning, but did manage the quick bed change (new pillow slip, new bottom sheet and turn the duvet). I did a bit more clearing in the office last night as well - had a good go at the noticeboard, it’s almost clear now 😊
My teeny-tiny goji berry plant turned up today 😂 Note to self: read the description more carefully on the size of pot and therefore relative size of plant I am buying …! 😂
Deliberately treated myself to a small flexible bucket, scissors and enclosed clipboard, all in turquoise, for my conservatory gardening work station I am planning c. £27.Requested £7 from TCB which will become an OP when it eventually turns up in PP …

Well the TCB of £7 turned up today. OPd along with a 52p OP 😊🎉 Need to add this to my monthly tracker of my target OPs. I know I’m struggling with hitting my target for surveys income - I either forget about them, get too busy or keep being excluded! 🙄😉
Rang mortgage company, just to confirm that they are actually receiving these OPs … ! Yes they are 😊 I also asked about the £250 cashback we were supposed to get. Apparently this was released at the end of October / early November. I don’t remember receiving this so I need to follow this up 😊
10.2 K steps today 😊 and an NSD.
No chores done before work - I spent the time making myself a hot breakfast instead, which made a big difference before I headed out in to the cold! We have closed the curtain to the living room - we have now got one warm and toasty space 😊❤️ Mr KK had to show Chloe how to use / negotiate it. I’d forgotten that she only arrived in March last year so hadn’t seen The Curtain … there was a certain amount of perturbation until it was explained to her, bless 😉
Mr KK took his drill sharpening kit Christmas present into work today and did about 40 drills. I received a WhatsApp part way through the day with a photo and a comment that ‘The gadget is good’ 😊❤️
Quiet evening here, planning food for next week, doing the Toscos order and watching the first of MD’s new British Gardens series 😊 I’m happy 😊
