Poor scaredy cat Chloe!!  Did she bap her reflection??  One of mine would bap the mirror tentatively to judge how friendly "that other cat" might be.  And took great offence at a bag of mine that had a life size cat pictured on it.
No bapping. Lots of moving around and anxious body language. She was scared to walk past it. Calm has now been restored by turning it round! 😉

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Chloe being a peaceful chilled out puddle in her bed under the Christmas tree is soothing my heart ❤️
Do you feel like maybe you want to have another conversation with Mr KK about contributions to the joint account? I know you have a great relationship and both contribute in different ways, but if there's underlying discomfort on your part about finances then new job change of pay dates and CC running high is the ideal time to bring it up

Thanks for the concern, but it really is just a question of timing of monies in and out within the cycle of the month. 😊 Mr KK has already significantly increased his contribution to the joint account to allow me to take a lower / less intense job. Looking to the CC, it’s more that I want it as clear as possible before starting the new year, from the settlement payment I had, so I can see more clearly what I have left for OPs, transfers to pensions, house proj3cts etc, when my first full pay packet comes through at the end of January. Am I making sense?
