Good evening all 😊
That’s the first week done 🎊🎉🥳😊
Not sure how the role will *actually* pan out as atm I’m am acting as an extremely overpaid technician. I haven’t done so much component measurement in years!! 😂😂😂 (There’s a very high profile project going wrong so everyone is being thrown at it - I’m well out of the politics and accountability for this car crash, so I’m just saying yes to everything and being kind and supportive to everyone, especially when finding dreadful errors / quality issues when checking … 🤷♀️ The lady I have been brought in to work alongside seems grateful and as if I’m lifting the weight off her, which I think will be my primary measure of success for at least a couple of months 😉😊).Adapting to the new routine / being back at work 😳😉😂 Commute is a bit hard as it’s very dark coming home. I’ve found a safer route for coming home from the one site. I can see that I am going to be bouncing back and forth between the two sites so I have to learn how to be a ‘snail’ and carry my house on my back - personal items as well as stuff I want to use - I don’t have a defined desk at the 2nd site. I absolutely crashed last night and went to bed at 9.30 but feeling quite a bit fresher tonight.
Onto domestic things …
We have been putting the Christmas tree up by stealth - erected it last weekend. Chloe looked it, tried to eat it, got bored of it. We put the lights on it last night. Chloe looked at it, paddy-pawed the cables, got bored of it. We will now decorate it, from the top down over the weekend…. 😉
My two plants stands - my designated ‘pay off’ from the old job 😉 - have arrived. Mr KK put them together for me tonight and I put them in place - one in the bathroom (white and modern in style) one in a dead corner of my bedroom (wooden and modern but a bit more eclectic in style). They look really good, I’m very pleased with them 😊❤️👏 Didn’t cost that much either 😉
Exercise and weight loss …. ? Sorry, what ….? Did someone say something …..?!! 😉😂 I will pick that up again when I’m less tired. Not stressing about that atm.Managed to track down the two women who saw me sobbing my face off on the side of the road last week when I found George, turned around, came back and helped me home with him, via FB. Then a week later, last night, they dropped off a cyclamen with a note on it to me. The story cheered a lot of local people too or allowed people to share that they were struggling. The mother / grandmother of the women came forward so I was able to message her back and ask her to share my gratitude with them. ❤️Chloe is becoming a cuddle bug in the evenings, whilst still being frit and behaving like we are terrifying when seen in other contexts … 🤷♀️😉😊😂

So glad you sound energised and joyful in new job.
How nice of those women, and how nice of you to try to find them, and how nice that meant others were cheered or able to say they're struggling. A very good legacy of Georgeous x3 -

Edit: Told Mr KK why I was crying and he had a wobble too …. George had a very short but precious life. ❤️

I have a busy day ahead ….
- Early breakfast using up the other half of the cottage cheese I started yesterday with oats and fruit as a high fibre / protein riff on ‘cheesecake’ 😉😂 Actually it wasn’t too bad, just a bit odd in texture.
- Head off down to the charity shop to get rid of a big bag of unwanted clothes and jackets.- Wrangle the Toscos delivery - Mr KK may or may not be around to help with that.- Head off out again to buy my Hori Hori and leather sheath 😊❤️ Paying for this with the money I earned when cleaning recently!
- Clean bathroom and loo
- Omlette for lunch at Mr KK’s request 😊
- Get out in the garden for at least an hour to make the most of the forecast sunshine
- See if I can find time for making red wine sauce and mushroom pate (actually more like a loaf) for lunch on the 25th for me 😊
- HM pizza for dinner - must dig out the sauce and the dough from the freezer actually
- Wrangle washing throughout the day - first load is in
- Get summer duvet out of my bedroom and back into storage in the office. Duvet divested of cover and bagged up. Cover in cellar waiting to be washed 😊
- Flop and strictly final 😊

Admit to tearfulness at that legacy too. How lovely.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Glad the first week has gone well, albeit in a slightly different way to expected, and you seem positive about the company.2

Charity shop drop off done. As well as the bag of clothes I also got rid of a substantial pile of frying pans and pans I don’t want / have space for. Very good to have those gone.Mr KK helped empty out the Toscos totes and then I put all away as he was moving firewood from the stack behind the garage to the formal wood store next to the back door. Also wrapped the final present for Mr KK whilst he was occupied 😉
Bought Hori Hori and sheath - had £2 left over from my cleaning earnings 😊
Did the cleaning - worst job of the week done before lunchtime! Result!! 👏😊
Had an hour in the garden. Watered the greenhouse and made a start on weeding the cut flower border. Found two, very small, dahlia tubers. They weren’t soft or squidgy, so have tucked them up in the potting shed in a spirit of hopeful optimism 🤞😉 It was quite sunny but, started to cloud up as the morning went on. Mr KK took out 4 barrowloads of bramble roots - hero husband! 💪👏❤️😊
Washing is all in hand and summer duvet is back in the over stairs cupboard, where it should be.
Lunch was omelette with sad mushrooms and last week’s ham for Mr KK’s half. Came out really well. Mr KK happy 😊 Requested £6.16 CB from TCB. Went out for a walk on the local mile long loop as it was too cold to garden any more, even in my fleece lined gardening trousers that I found this week when looking for and failing to find my lost Christmas jumper.
Made the red wine sauce and mushroom ‘pate’ aka loaf for my Christmas dinner 🤩 It took aaaaages to chop the mushrooms for the loaf - my feet are so sore now! 😳😉 Shallots and thyme from my garden used for the sauce ❤️
Got another 30 minutes for the loaf to cook and then I have to throw pizza around … Thank goodness the base and the sauce is done so should be fairly quick.KKAs at 15.07.25:
