Baileys_Babe said:I'm in Mr KK camp regarding food, but thank you everyone for sharing your beliefs and how your actions and rituals it has been very thought provoking.
I've had a cyclamen on the kitchen window sill for years, with plenty of foliage and regular long lasting flowers, earlier this year it went brown and dried up, despite me watering it, it stayed like that for 6 months plus and a couple of weeks ago a batch of healthy new leaves appeared 😊 no idea why it went dormant nor for so long, fingers crossed yours recovers too 🤞
Throwing it down with rain here, though the wind has eased since last night when I had to get up in the middle of the night to close the window as it sounded like the wind wanted to pull it out of the wall! 😉 We are somewhat marooned here today as there is flooding below us and a huge tree down in the cutting above us - there is barely any traffic going through our hamlet today, which is lovely and the village WhatsApp is alive with scurrilous suggestions about bringing down a few more rocks onto the road so the Forestry and the council will have to work together to clear the road - if they do it will take months and leave us for barely any traffic for those months … 😉
Slept in until 7.30am this morning - think I needed it! Done some work on my presentation for Tuesday and will rehearse it tomorrow - I suspect it’s far too long, so may have to resort to pulling particularly critical points out of some the slides when presenting, as it’s difficult to know what to leave out. They will get a copy afterwards as well.Am about to update my financials and ‘pay’ myself from my settlement monies. Technically it should be done on the 25th, previous payday, but I am itching to get it done and the weather should be dry tomorrow so I would rather use that time to get out of the house for a bit. This afternoon I foresee cross-stitch, reading and chilling to CFMC 😊KKAs at 15.07.25:

Could you run it through an AI for a summary/second opinion?
Love the scurrilous suggestions, I suggest adding a rare newt/evidence of badger sett1 -

Love the scurrilous suggestions, I suggest adding a rare newt/evidence of badger settThough there is a local road that is but due to a landslip that wouldn’t be repaired until winter 2025(!) due to dormice having been found in the area of cliff they need to remove! 😉
Not sure about the AI suggestion - might try it just for fun 😉😊

Oh dear no the farmers would be up in arms.I think of AI as the machinery in a giant warehouse going to pick according to the specifications.
you could also ask a human to read it lol2 -
‘Paid’ myself.Cleared the credit card for the month.Did a cash flow forecast, just in case, for the joint current account because of the increased mortgage payment at the start of next month. It’s looking very healthy and actually like we might have a spare £2K (largely made up of the missed / returned October payment). If the numbers still stack up, once I have my first new payslip … 🤞… that will become an OP.
Submitted gas and electric meter readings, which meant getting dressed up to go out in the deluge outside to the gas meter! 😉 ☔️ Feeling virtuous ❤️
Cats are restless-fidgets with raging cabin fever and have been sending Mr KK slightly batty this afternoon when he was trying to do modelling … 😉😂

The AI call is a good one, also ask it with the job spec added what likely questions might come up in the interviewDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@WelshmansDaughter, @LadyWithAPlan, I did the AI thing with the job description cross referenced with my CV for potential questions / answers. It was interesting to see how it stitched the ‘evidence’ in my CV together and it came up with some combinations from different roles that probably wouldn’t have occurred to me. It was also wildly, factually inaccurate (because of how it stuck things together) which was quite fun 😉
I have polished the presentation and rehearsed it - I now know the pace I have to deliver at (how much extra detail around the slides) and get away with.Clothes are ready.Shoes are ready - both interview shoes and safety shoes as we will be going out in the factory for a tour and I have to identify 6 HSE issues / OFIs.I know where I am going, at what time, what to do when I get there and who to call 😊
Laptop is packed. Just have to send the presentation tonight, just before I go to bed.My questions are prepped. The forecast is good.
I refuelled the car today.All I need now is good night’s sleep … 😊🤞
In other news …
Gave the kitchen floor a really good going over with the new mop system - it’s not perfect but soooo much better! Two loads of washing done and mostly dried on the line in spite of a shower.I have started a walking app challenge as the weather is so grim atm and I’m not losing any weight in spite of restricting my intake reasonably well. Got pretty hot and out of breath doing two routines yesterday and today and with a quick run to the supermarket and the cleaning I have actually got past 10K steps today 😊
