Thanks all 😊
I have done the monthly money shuffles, left enough in my current account (with a small buffer) and pinged the rest over to my easy access, okay interest savings account. (It was getting close to my bank’s daily transfer limit - not something I usually have to worry about 😉😊).
Updated my YNAB sheet for November.
Updated the interest rate to 3.85% on my mortgage OPs tracking sheet that I use to (roughly) calculate the interest saved …
The interview lasted a solid hour.
Recruiter is going to recommend me to go through to the next stage, which is an hour long interview with the HR officer, via Teams.
If I get through that, then there are tests followed by a site based interview and a presentation! I will have flipping earned this job if I have to do all this ….
Recruiter asked me for two referees from previous roles do have contacted them to ask nicely. At this point I have had enough and am taking the rest of the day off! 😉
Am also very grateful that our new mortgage deal is sorted, as the R33ves moves are causing concern it seems ….

Good luck with the interview process and enjoy a well deserved weekend. 3.85% doesn't sound too shabby, well done on getting that sorted."Think of many things, do one"

Wouldn't it be nice to have all that buffer in the bank, plus getting a salary nearly immediately?

With @Brie (v fun) apart from the lets leave the scarves alone, given how much damage they did to Isadora. I am wearing purple and waving apple tree stems, broken under the weight of falling apples (indicating LOADSAMONEY) The KK vortex is a special place
How exciting your bank is having a 'we're rich' moment! How long were you there for?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

This all becoming somewhat surreal … 😂
Also a no to scarves from me as I don’t have a risk assessment for them! 😉😂😂Weighed in this morning. Lost 5lbs (a LOT of which will be water) but it does explain why I am feeling better already. Biggest learnings are portion sizes and how short of protein I am ….Actions to try to rectify this:
- Keep using small plates for lunch
- Eat tofu 🙄 as above 😉
- Try mixing cottage cheese and an egg and cooking in air fryer - this sounds quite promising to me with some finely chopped shallot
- Try debtfreewannabe’s bean burger recipe that includes sala as that looks less dry than the typical

The egg and cottage cheese thing as the inside or the outside of a wrap?KKAs at 15.07.25:

Apparently you mix together and flat bake on a lined tray to make the outside of a wrap. I already use two whisked eggs in my pancake pan to make a very thin omelette to use as a wrap because I don't like the gluten free ones.
for me the addition of cottage cheese would give me much needed calcium. I hadn't even thought about protein but probably should given how my eating has changed in recent weeks. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
