I hesitate to suggest this but does HR have a well being budget/role?  Could a health coach be of use along the lines of guzzling energy drinks will make the sleep and anxiety worse?

I must say I rolled my eyes at the excuses about not getting to work on time, I am notoriously late for everything but i really do try to get to work on time as that is really important.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

We are going to go down the Occ Health route as well.
It was just the shrug response, like it was me making a fuss or being unreasonable that got me.

I wonder what would happen if the accounts person decided they would have to ' bear with them' as they were too tired to do all of payroll on time and the rest would just have to suck it up and get paid .. I dunno, later on  .....   maybe tomorrow ?
I know that is how it works when you work for family ( I moved half the length of the country to release DH from working for his Uncle's company), but it is no excuse when you are not related.
You did nothing wrong.  Perhaps it will spur them on to pass their test and having a license will be a selling point at the next job interview.  You are focusing their mind on what they need to do to improve in their next role.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and speculate that your report is under 30.... There is honestly such a generational difference in the understanding of how the world works - you've definitely hit the nail on the head with "entitlement". Things I wouldn't even dream of thinking are now said with pride and an attitude that leaves you feeling like a dinosaur.

Not that this helps you in any way at all, just wanted to let you know you're not the only dinosaur!
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
