Thanks @beanielou 😊
Haircut done and I am all shaggy and swishy again! 😉 Hairdresser downloaded at me about his middle son and how he’s not coping very well with GCSEs etc. Apparently he’s going to arrange some proper work experience for this son after his GCSEs with a bricklayer, a barber and possibly an electrician as well. I think he’s hoping this will give his son some sense of direction.Popped into N3xt and bought myself a long, very brightly floral and swishy dress. It was indulgent but I never find anything in charity shops and I realised that I don’t have any kind of formal frocks - sun dresses but nothing semi formal. I might suggest to Mr KK that we book a table somewhere nice for our wedding anniversary in early June, so I have somewhere to wear it! 😉
Am shattered after yesterday, and the sun is strong here so the first few hours here will consist of financial updates, magazine and book reading and maybe some knitting 😊

Had a very lazy afternoon, knitting and watching old episodes of Gentleman J@ck. Mr KK got home early so brought food from the chippy, which meant no cooking this evening 😉😊
Completed one full round of the blanket pattern now and am about to start the second ball:

It is boiling out there! Not helped by the fact that I am trying to work in the greenhouse!! 🥵😂
It is now decanted and fully emptied as I have put the sprinkler in there. I am wondering if the reason that my plants all struggled in there last year wasn’t just the manure I used (with possible traces of weed killer 😢) but also because the ground was bone dry after the winter and not using the space much. The red lettuces have done quite well but the pale green lettuces are a bit ‘singed’ looking and when I lifted them they were quite dry at the root ball. So, the beds are getting a really good soaking and I am using wool based compost-fertiliser this year rather than animal manure! 🤞
Horrifying how much bindweed is in there considering it was almost clear of it last year 😢😢😢
Now in the living room with a cold drink and in front of the fan! 😉

Very hot here too. Watered the greenhouse but the tunnel needs a really good soak. The coir compost gets really dry.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Lost a post! 😢 Had to turn off my iPad sand start again … 😳
Long day in the garden but got the greenhouse planted up - had to keep stopping to cool off! 🥵
Also removed all the sticky weed from under the contorted hazel and pulled the bluebell stems before they set seed from here and there around the place. Emptied the two patio pots into big plastic pots down by the compost heap to finish off the no bulbs in there until later in the year when I will recycle them. Washed the pits down and then moved them and two sacks of compost around to the potting shed ready for refilling. Before:After: two tomato varieties across four plants, two cucumber plants, two sweet pepper plants, one aubergine (from the plant swop I went to a few weeks ago - first time of growing)m tow new parsley plants and one mini pumpkin - I may come to regret this last one! 😂
