Thanks all. Feeling a bit better after the time in the garden and decompressing after work 😊@f0xh0les, there is free milk in the offices. They get through about 6 pints a day! I asked if the canteen could supply oat milk for me and whoever the surreptitious other user of my milk is …. My boss took me aside and said that he would only buy ‘standard’ milk and no other milks. I said that was pretty discriminatory, he got cross, I gave up and left the office as we both had meetings to go to! 🤷♀️

Glad you booked a day off.
Glad you asked for what you needed at work too - even if it wasn't well received.
Really good that the hospice nurse is coming to help. That sounds a huge step forwards - albeit an uncomfortable milestone. Hugs.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

With the bank holidays coming up you could make yourself a couple of longer long weekends for minimal leave output... I have put in an order for sunny weather from this weekend for you, sounds like your garden is your decompression space anyway.

Well gardening seems to help you and tidying seems to be satisfying so why not head east and plant lots of stuff in my garden and tidy my greenhouse for me!!! I guess that means I might need to get in some oat milk unless I could convince you to have some herbal tea that doesn't need it..... but I know I can make some vegan treats to go with the tea......KajiKita said:Thanks all. FiL died this morning, quite suddenly after the overnight nurse left.Mr KK is not working the next two days - his head is in a muddle and he’s worried he will stuff on something critical on the bathroom installation he is doing atm (his boss has expensive tastes!). I am working from home for the next two days as I am shattered (need to check my VPN access). The news came through to me this morning, when I was on one of the build lines doing a process audit. They were so kind to me, bringing me tissues etc.
Hoping to sleep and sleep and sleep tonight …..
