The independent money coach seems interesting though - how did you find them?
And the book is added to my TBR pile.
Umm … honestly? I have been following and interacting with him on LI for c. 6 months now. (That probably sounds really flaky! 😂😂😂)
Hope you enjoy it 😊

Fresh bedding 🤩❤️
Had a thought: FiL is endlessly fretting about the car insurance as the V5 has been transferred to MiL but FiL is still named as main driver.
Mr KK tried to help this evening but had real problems with phones, signals etc etc. He’s going to try again on Saturday morning. I have suggested that as this will require having FiL awake and functional, MiL, a phone signal and being able to make a quick decision once they finally get through, that it might help to have a sense of ‘market cost’ on a new insurance policy v. paying whatever extra is needed to make MiL the named driver on the existing policy.
So, tomorrow evening I will drive his tablet and he will give me all the data to plug MiL and Mr KK as a named driver into the MSE tool and see what it comes back with. That way, whatever the original insurance company comes back with to change to MiL as main driver, can be compared to instantly.Mr KK thinks this is a good idea.KKAs at 15.08.25:

Mr Kk is a lucky man to have you (& I am sure he appreciates you )
you have so much going - the gardening is probably helping you with the stress and all that physical work will make you sleep

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Smart thinking on the insurance. Sometimes it just takes an step away and a solution comes through.
Loving the cat tales. Have been thinking about building a catio for the feral who is now a house cat. I think she would love that. WattyDog chases her and I'm worried if I let her out she will get chased away so often she will not come back which is why she stays in. A catio would be just her space. I have somewhere of the french windows that would be ideal for her. I will add it to the increasing to do listMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Aaaaand, we start looking at the insurance. Mr KK has the tablet, I have the paperwork. I start reading said paperwork …. Mrs KK senior is already down as ‘main driver’! 🙄😂😂😂 So the only thing we need to worry about now is designating her as registered keeper. There will be more to do after the death, but we can deal with all that later ….
MiL rang Mr KK today to say that they are getting a hospital type bed downstairs in the lounge on Monday and FiL will be brought downstairs by the fire brigade. Apparently they do this a lot …. (Who knew? Another, hidden, critical, community service). That will mean MiL can sleep in her own bed again instead of having to set up the sofa bed every night and everyone will find it easier to take care of FiL because he will be higher off the ground with more space around him. No one is going to tell him anything until Monday, otherwise he will worry about it all weekend. This week has been insanely busy in work and I got to a point this afternoon where the systems were locking up, my brain was seizing up and I had had enough. I left 30 minutes early or so.
The drive home was so beautiful 🤩 bright blue skies, white clouds, fresh greens and white flowers everywhere, just so lovely. I have consciously not talked about today at work since coming home and it can all wait until Monday now ….
My garden was looking beautiful when I got home. I’d take some pictures but it’s blowing a hooley here! 😊

Glad that the insurance is sorted. The registered keeper is important to sort asap as I'm sure you know. Sounds quite a milestone with the new bed for FIL and what that means for MIL. It's good you are able to help - although I imagine very draining too.
Glad the garden made you smile.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
