  • What a fab job, well done. And another busy day, you've definitely earnt a nice dinner tonight! What was the main thing you took away from the climate talk that we could be doing at an individual level?

@Cheery_Daff, whipping on the line today, rather than flapping! 😳😂

@PennysIntoPounds, it comes down to four main areas:
    - transport including flights
    - food
    - how we heat our homes
    - how much we consume of everything else
For me, I can’t do much about transport as I live in a rural area (though the few flights I take I do try and find a reputable carbon offset), I choose to be vegetarian (though this is fiercely emotive and depends a lot on whether you eat locally produced food or imported things), heating - we were talking about sharing the infrared camera a neighbouring parish has bought to look at properties in the village from the outside so homeowners could understand where they are losing heat.
The less consumption of everythIng else is inherent to the MSE mindset, so we have that covered 😉
We were also talking about the Dark Skies project and looking to do something with that.

    @beanielou I don’t have a choice! 😂😂😉

Fajitas for dinner - I managed to make the chicken tender and cook the quorn chunks and mushrooms correctly and wrangle all the other accompaniments to the correct timing - Logistics Level Expert! 😉😊

    - OPs to mortgage = £12,345 Estd. interest saved = £5,863 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

  • That's really interesting, thanks for sharing. Enabling people to see where they're losing heat is a really good idea- making the abstract personal, saving people a few quid in the long term, and helping the planet is a win win win

Excellent dinner domestic goddessing too! You're a much nicer missus than me, if Mr PIP wants meat he blimmin well cooks it himself 😂

@CCW007 Your dog looks so cute - and accusing at the same time. Sweet.

KK - you and your Mr certainly work hard. Well done on what was achieved.

Sorry to read both of these things KK. Hard enough to deal with one of them far less both at the same time.
Positive thoughts & energy your way. Xx

Sorry to hear about FiL's turn.  fyi the morphine - gentle suggestions about upping fibre intake would be good as it tends to constipate.

Sorry to read about Fil and also you realising what is going on for you and the sleep.  Sending love
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
