Love the kitten pics - they are obviously very comfortable in their new home.
Pleased that Mr KK is having good quality bonding time with his dad.
I like the idea of sand painting and am sure it's a great way to meditate. I know for me that bashing the bike frame might be more therapeutic but then again I always enjoyed chopping wood too.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Thanks Watty and Brie 😊
Interesting day today ….
Slept like a rock - best night’s sleep in a long time - thank goodness.Got into work early after a lovely drive in where I could appreciate beauty again and finished preparing slides for an ops review that I only got the data for Friday pm 🙄
Intense meeting with two of my team about what my boss was raving about on Friday - they got the urgency and my suggested strategy and we have an agreed plan.Shared plan with boss in my weekly 1:1 (he seemed pleased) and then I started talking about all the little details he minced me over on Friday and how I was going to tackle them. He started saying that some of them weren’t important, not to worry - I was like WTA ….? (I managed to contain this response !) and said he had been ‘passionate’ about them (polite euphemism 🙄) so as I was doing a full revision of a task I could incorporate those details. We then went our separate ways, early, but on good terms.Created template for a ‘quick and dirty’ solution to boss issue, sent to colleague for doc control, received back, circulated to team members from the morning meeting.Started tackling a quality issue that has reached the attention of the top of our division (2 levels above my boss) - I was hoping one of my team would be back to do that today after three weeks away, but they are sick so couldn’t come into work… Supplier visit booked for tomorrow morning as a result.Spoke to one of the team about why they aren’t included in the bonus (all to do with grading and they aren’t at the right level - bonuses have been applied Willy nilly in the past, but now we are working to the global rule) - they’d embarrassed themselves in the morning by going straight at my boss about it - vigorous Teutonic logic and rules (think really quite Vulcan) were the response and my team member got emotional - continued Vulcan response. By the time I spoke to my team member they were very subdued about it ….
No time for walk at lunchtime - straight into Ops review. Went okay. No questions for me. Boss took something of a pummelling I thought. One hour session on women in engineering - looks constructive - have signed up for more info.Quick squint at tomorrow’s calendar and planned my day.Drove beyond home to collect new car - 🤞 pleeeease let it be okay and not a duff one! 😉😊 Mr KK seems to like it ❤️ Managed to reverse it into the drive first time without incident 🥳
Mr KK had major vent about his sister being flaky in supporting their mum … I get it but he needs to think his approach thorough as there is still a way to go before we are done with all of this. Made some suggestions. We cleaned litter trays together - ending up with ‘his n hers’ scoops - mine pink (new one), his blue (old one) and had a laugh over the bin about it - whatever gets us through I suppose 😉🤷♀️❤️ Fed cats.
Cooked dinner.Replied to my father’s latest fell walking email - a record 9 images describing the route in this one ….! 😳😂Done, mostly. Need to shuffle monies around this evening as my credit card is CREAKING! after buying the car and do food for tomorrow.Apologies for the brain dump.KKAs at 15.08.25:

Monies moved from savings to cover work AMEX whilst I continue to wrestle with the system … (submitted 4 times now).Monies moved from three separate savings accounts to cover the car payment. Short of £315 as that is coming from my ISA and hasn’t appeared in my current account yet. When it does, that will get the car paid off the CC.My savings are looking sad …. Ah well.Cancelled the old car insurance policy. £50 admin fee 😩 so £191 to come back to me.Breakfast and snacks done but defeated by full lunch prep so have pulled together some picky bits that are vaguely healthy.DONE! 😊

But do you feel more confident driving the new car? That you will be less likely to be phoning rescue services regularly? Peace of mind is worth it.

- good Mr KK having open honest chats
You are dealing super well but give yourself time as well
loving all these cute pics of dogs and cats .. @beanielou those beds are brilliant!@CCW007 too cute !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Glad the cats are providing light relief in a really busy and somewhat vexing time.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3
