I hope the sensor change sorts out the issue for you.
I have a hope it will too. What he has changed / cleaned out and the additional clutch sensor corresponds with what I have been subjectively experiencing when driving - seems like fuel / power delivery and even clutch response / glitchiness related, so I am hoping it sorts it 🤞

Fingers crossed your car gets sorted soon xx

I've always been pretty tolerant of other people's noise, but in our last house, having lived there very peacefully for many years, we had new neighbours who unthinking made a load of racket, often singing loudly at 4am for several hours 🙄 I could deal with it, but Mr Cheery REALLY couldn't, and in time, I came to be very stressed by it (and his reaction) too. I think it's that thing about having your safe space invaded.

I think I'd be fine with eg a band practice at a set time (but that might be bias on my part as I am in a wind band that practices in a village hall 🙈😂) but it's hard to stop noticing once you've started, and when it becomes something you fixate on, it's REALLY hard to ignore it! My sympathies!

Hope the sensor sorts the issue out.  Re the band practice, I get it.  I used to live near a pub with a function room and more than once asked the police to call and ask them to turn the music down when they had a really late night licence yet by the same token I once lived near a church and loved loved loved the bell practice even when they were really messing up the bells.  It was glorious.

For the gardener, I'm hiring mine for another day.    You pop into my thread so you know I'm really focusing on debt and recovery but for me recovery is also part of my mental and emotional health.  In a day he can underplant my hedge with dog rose and trim the laurel hedge between me and the neighbour so nicely they will never know.  I could do both jobs but birds nest in the hedge so I'd really like it done before that happens and I need to focus on my emotional and mental health too and I will get more out of my life if I (a) keep work up to date and (b) do things that bring me joy. Outsourcing getting dog rose into that hedge to thicken up be bare bits will bring me joy and be done now while it is the right time and I can take my horses out, ride, walk my dog and cook for the freezer. On balance therefore outsourcing seems a plan that works for me on many levels.

PS I can justify almost anything though LOL
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks for the thoughts on the garden help. I will bear it in mind.

WFH today - actually managed to get quite a bit done. Giggleclear came and claimed that they have fixed the fibre broadband - haven’t actually tried it yet.
Plumber also came and balanced the radiators, insulating the feed pipes under the floor, but failed to fix the dripping kitchen tap - he can’t source the inner cartridge, so we are probably looking at a new tap. 🤷‍♀️🙄

Once I had finished my work hours, I then went outside for a little light and fresh air and to chop back the cotoneaster that is growing out from the front of the garage and stopping Mr KK parking properly. We may do more - it’s that classic thing of stop, reassess and then cut again.

Tired, struggling to think or motivate myself (I had planned to make a start on my washing and some cleaning chores after an earlier start today - none of that happened) and wondering if I need to get my thyroxine levels checked as I am also often cold atm …

Ooh yes, I have been reading 'rejuvenate the garden' type books and the 'third off at a time' advice is a recurring theme.
