Tip envy. I need to sort out our declutter and need the council to do a pick up. Which you can only do online. Which means you have to have an account. Which I have but don't remember the password. Which you have to click on a link to get them to send you something to your email address which doesn't work because I don't have an account. Except that I do. Do not want to ring some potentially ineffective and uninterested council worker to get them to sort this so might need to resort to him indoors signing up for an account.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. whenever we go to the tip we come back with a flat tyre or puncture. Cheaper to book a skip on average, especially as they charge a few pounds per rubble sack for 'building'wasteMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Forgot to mention, received £60 into my savings account today from father of tututee which covers January’s fees (yes I know, I’m cheap! 😉). I have left that in savings for now without allocating it to anything. My savings are currently at £16,888 - the highest since moving in here 😊

,Well done on your goals, I am also finalising mine now.. did the financial side but also wanted some time to think on the other areas, review, draw lessons and then move forward to make 2024 fabulous.
I personally love Leonard Cohen - though his poems are often far better when set to music, Chelsea Hotel No 2 is a top 5 song of mine, I love Janis Joplin too - the documentary on her is amazing - on yt here if you have not seen itDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
