Was it a cheesecake by the way? I (and my alter ego) have perfected a white chocolate cheesecake recipe over the years. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

@brie. No!He took it as far as letting her move out of her home .. !!Sounds like she got loads of healthy exercise at leastDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

KajiKita said:-1 cup of cashews
- 1 bowl
- cover cashews with water and leave for 8 hours (if you forget you can use boiling water and wait 30 minutes)
- put drained nuts and half a cup of the soaking water in a jug blender blitz to a cream (I did try using a stick once, but oh dear, the mess! 😉)
Various uses - tonight I have added a good pinch of salt to offset the sweetness and added a little activated yeast to make a bit more savoury to go in my riff-recipe 😉
KK
I make green lentil and mushroom goulash which is lovely and uses cashew cream.3 -
Always an entertaining read!!
I vote for some one off help from a gardener and then you can assess if you want more. I was blown away by how much my handyman/gardener could get done in the time.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Unfortunately, I don’t think one off help from a gardener would cut it this time (I have done it in the past for pruning / removing some out of control shrubs and I agree it can be transformative what a strong bloke with the right kit and expertise can get done in a day) - for bindweed it is about little actions, repeated much ….
I need an impoverished 6th former who lives locally! 😉😂
Thanks for the suggestion about icecubing the cashew cream @CCW007, I will remember that one 😊
I have woken in a better mood, and in fact my mood was better overall yesterday. I had a demoralising PDA at the beginning of the week from my boss and I don’t think I had properly had time to digest it and process. I will be adding “Nil Carborundum Illegitimus!!” on a small strip of paper to my screen in work next week …. 💪
Time to get started on some tasks 😊

Having a productive day so far
- Cleared kitchen after Battle of The Batch yesterday evening
- Labelled up said batch and stuffed it in my freezer
- Got new Fibre Wiffy child node working - resident in office upstairs now
- Logged all my devices into new Wiffy - you suddenly realise how many things use it!
- Cleared, weeded and deep-bark-mulched the 'cordon sanitaire' on the east side of my greenhouse (just to keep the grass down and from shading that side of the greenhouse too much - made a huge difference last year - I did leave the clump of daffodils as I am soft like that)
- Spot watered some ongoing things in the greenhouse - parsley and sorrel mainly. My Salvias are looking okay in there - think the winter wet disagrees with them even more than cold.
- Wrangling of Mr KK's washing
- Cancelled Mifi with V0daphone - have to pay a month's overlap but no further penalty so I am fairly happy with that. The lady I spoke to thanked me for being so nice to deal with after I thanked her for her time.
Failed to call Giggleclear (their lines aren't open) for a partial refund of my first month's service as it did not work after the first install attempt on 29th December and actually only worked after Friday 12th January after a complete reinstall (I even had to help the engineer feed the cable through the wall!), plus I have incurred the extra month's cost with previous provider. A job for one evening this week.
About to head out into the garden and do something / anything in an ornamental area

You inspired me to do some pruning, and half fill the second green waste bin. I noticed that we have some soil erosion at the front (rain, rain and more rain) which has exposed a lot of snowdrop bulbs, I probably need to cover that with some bark or something.

Just come in after another hour in the garden. Finished weeding / dead clearing the bed on the other side of the gate in the front garden and the little bd at the top of the driveway. These can all be mulched now after a spell of warmer weather. Found I was hoicking out quite a bit of self propagated purple bugle - these have been cleaned and potted up, ready for going under the Maple in the back garden along with London Pride as ground cover, once I get that area (dry shade) cleared.Oh and Mr KK reinflated my wheelbarrow tyre for me with his fancy new gadget - omg, the difference!! 🤩❤️👏
