Glad you have a nice lunch then a garden potter after the week you have had / enjoy!
car lights always stress me out too ..
nut cream ? Do you have a recipe please ?
A neighbour did have a very loud girlfriend so loud that when they ‘started’ she made so much noise for hours (!) our building what’s app group filled up with comments about how she was so loud she must be faking it .. the screams, of varying intensity .the 2 3 hours of it . it was funny the first time but quickly got old
- I had a zoom call with work one afternoon and all I could hear was ‘oh God’ at varying levels of pitch - you get the picture. And they start up at 1am regularly - and wake the building up
I rarely hear noise in my flat as it’s v thick walls but screaming echoes thru the not great windows and high pitch sound carries and It was really inappropriate if there were kids in the building
Luckily I think he dumped her - probably cos of the whats app conversation every time
‘has she finished yet?’
’I think so’
’oh no she has started again’
‘that sounds painful’
‘Can I buy them a gag?’
Either put music on yourself when they start or some neighbours would just put earphones in - I have some AirPod pros which are amazing but it is an annoying solution.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Oh my word … @LadyWithAPlan, that must have been horrendous! So intrusive on a whole other level too! 😳
I never wear anything that plays music or voice in my ears - I have never found anything that is comfortable for me to wear. I also just resent having to live with noise that is unreasonable. 🤷♀️
Had a good start to the day:
- 2 loads of washing wrangled, second lot in tumble (I know, I know, only to damp, not dry-dry)
- new tap purchased - we looked at cheap ones but neither of us were willing to compromise so we have gone for a mono lock with lever taps and a 12 year guarantee! 😉 Mr KK has fitted (with just a mild dose of grumping) said tap and you can feel the difference in function already.- cleaning of bathroom and loo DONE! 👏😊 (Proper proud of this one.)
- Printed off and reviewed coachee’s homework - do I automatically mark him down by 50% for on,y giving one page of writing instead of the two I specified ….? 🤔😉
Currently having a quick brew and then I will chuck some relatively respectable clothes on and head out to lunch 😊

That sounds very productive. I've made a cooked breakfast and drank lots of tea and looked at 89p seeds on Suttons.
Hope you have an enjoyable lunch. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

@LadyWithAPlan
I had a downstairs neighbour like that. Single woman and bless her, well, let's just say she was voluptuous. And nearly 6 foot tall. And took up with this petite Italian chap. And that was it...morning, lunchtime, dinner time, midnight, repeat. She eventually moved out the day they were getting married but unfortunately he forgot to tell her about his wife...I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I have a rather delicious to read vegan cookbook (SS went vegan briefly) that seemed to start every recipe with whizzed up nuts soaked in water. Is this the nut cream? I drooled through every recipe, especially the NZ ginger crunch which was absolutely spot on calorie fest amazing. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

(I hid it in a clip lock tub and ate it all myself. It was just shamefully calorific but utterly gorgeous)

That recipe sounds lethal …. Do share! 😉😂
@LadyWithAPlan, it’s not so much a recipe as a technique.-1 cup of cashews
- 1 bowl
- cover cashews with water and leave for 8 hours (if you forget you can use boiling water and wait 30 minutes)
- put drained nuts and half a cup of the soaking water in a jug blender blitz to a cream (I did try using a stick once, but oh dear, the mess! 😉)
Various uses - tonight I have added a good pinch of salt to offset the sweetness and added a little activated yeast to make a bit more savoury to go in my riff-recipe 😉
