It’s reading like the freezer defrosting is striking a somewhat guilt ridden chord ….! 😂😂😂

I have the perfect solution for you all: two freezers! Since I got my little one, I just ram all the contents into one or the other of them, turn the empty one off and stick a towel in front of it. Come back an hour later and hey presto your freezer has defrosted itself for you! Just wipe, turn back on and refill and you're done 😀😀😀!

  • I defrosted one of our freezers yesterday, Our freezer must have been more iced up than South Coast's as I put the washing-up bowl with a couple of kettles of boiling water (water replaced when it cooled) inside and shut the door, 10 minutes later I heard some ice falling so I cleared that out and a shut the door again, now and then I used the window vac to remove the melted ice when everything had defrosted I dried the freezer with a tea towel and returned the food. Even better while I was out Sunday morning OH defrosted a freezer as well.
The next job is updating our freezer inventory.

2023: the year I get to buy a car

My hair guy insisted that I needed a hair drier to achieve the perfect coiffed style.  I agreed and forked out £3 at Sainsbury's for one.  15 years later the only time I've used it is maybe once a year when I'm defrosting the freezer.
    Brilliant!
I only once used a hairdryer to defrost a freezer thanks to KK suggestions - worked wonders !

I defrosted mine 2 months ago so no guilt here ! Took me months!
I had got rid of my 2nd one in feb this year so it was a right state !
However  it still now feels empty and as if I HAVE to get it filled again ..
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

My OH uses mine to heat up rubber pipes / components for the car to make them more malleable
