  • I did laugh at that book - and also confused as to why it’s in the school library

what was the Dale Carnegie coach session like - a work related or personal thing ?

Your DIY sounds like a long slog - living in a less is never fun - but sounds fabulous to enjoy for Xmas

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

That’s the sort of thing my oh does. Someone I know used to say it was  Picnic (problem in chair not in computer)
Someone taught me that one recently 😉

The DC session was a work thing for a Women in Leadership training thing the organisation is doing. It was quite fierce competition to get onto it and I’m not sure I’m making the most of it due to lack of time, but the 360 was interesting. I was shocked and quite telling to me that I got distressed when I was talking to the coach about my feedback and talking about how impossible the job has been for the last two years. It made me realise how little I trust my line manager - not in an ethical or strategic sense, but with my soul, iyswim. I have been genuinely somewhat traumatised by it - I don’t think that is an overstatement,

Yes, this DIY project has been a very long slog - Mr KK found an initial photo he sent to the building inspector when he first started ripping up the lounge floor to start the new hearth …. 15th June! No wonder we are both so tired and the house is such a pigsty! Even Mr KK is saying it’s minging - he’s normally oblivious! 😂😂😂 We are now starting to struggle to find things, which is annoying. We were both excited this evening that we found Mr KK’s recipe folder so he could make chicken fricasse for himself this weekend 😉😊 However, the brush attachment for the Henry has completely vaporised! 😉
