The painting will hopefully be soothing. Work sounds frustrating.

Love the stove and the paint colour.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Sorry someone shouted at you .. last time (only time) that ever happened  to me  work wise by a silent partner ... I enjoyed ensuring  a cold revenge ;) And have never spoken to him again. You sound more forgiving to me..
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

TBH, I suspect it’s more that I feel that I have less choice.

£5.26 sent as OP thanks to QM33, after a final survey before cashing out about pension consolidation, appropriately enough! 😉
Followed up with a 50p TT of our joint account 😊

    Rough plan for the day:
I was interrupted in my post payday money shuffles yesterday so have that to finish today.
Need to send a Zoom invite for my coachee for next Saturday along with a summary of ‘lessons learned’ and what we agreed for homework.
    Clean loo and bathroom.
Put identifying stickers on outside of my new suitcase for my work trip next week.
    Washing and dry clothes wrangling.
Start a little sewing kit I treated myself to that may become a Christmas present for my dad, if it looks like I will finish it in time to send it.
Stay warm - I felt cold all day yesterday.
I’m unlikely to get out in the garden - it’s forecast to be wet this afternoon but already looks pretty damp to me!

Well done! Which were the favourites that you'd recommend? (because my to-read list isn't long enough!)
    Hi MB 😊

I’ve wracking my brains but getting nowhere in terms of thinking what to say to you … The problem is that I am quite transitory in my reading - I find the odd one that I really like and reference in my signature with the count of the books read for a while, but then that gets overwritten with another one or just deleted altogether. So sorry 🤷‍♀️😊
