Time to start a Fresh part 2, 2022!

Hey all! Just wanted to say a quick thank you for a kick up the butt! Made me realise 5k isn't that much of a debt. It's also certainly doable to get it done before this Christmas. I might even aim for August!!

Me again aha! So good news, my "trial period" has been extended until 5th of March, other good news is I've picked up an extra 7 shifts 4 of which are 4-8 and 3 are 4-10. So lots of extra pennies!

Manager said she will review permeant jobs next week, hopefully I get one! I've also picked up another 7 shifts over the next 3 weeks. Totalling at 34 hours, so overall within the next 3 weeks ill be doing 66 hours with Sainsburys and with my main job it equals around 103.5 hours! A lot I know but this debt needs clearing.

oops just found out I applied for over time for 3 extra next week aswell so total hours is 117.5

edit again-

I'm now booked in Sainsburys until the 13th of February non stop, it's going to be a looooong few weeks. But I did book off the 14th and 15th in my main job so I can rest up and it's also mine and OH anniversary on the 15th, 6 Years so far!

@jadewest94 Cripes! What you are doing is so commendable but please don’t make yourself poorly. That’s such a lot of hours.

Sounds like you have lots of overtime booked but watch your health and you don't overdo it.  The main thing is not to waste the extra money you get from the  overtime by splurging on coffees out and takeaways because you are too exhausted to cook etc.

Myself and OH take it in turns to cook so I'll have no choice to cook!

Massive congratulations on the permanent contract.
As others have said, look after yourself and build in some self care but the impact you can make with the extra shifts will be a fabulous motivator

It's not permanent yet, find out next week hopefully!!

Agreed, I'm going to treat myself to a nice bubble bath I think
