    Morning @MrFrugalFever

    I did post a SOA a while ago, not done once recently. I will get one posted tonight as I need to check my finances anyways.

    I agree, 5k is a small debt. I think I've got back into the old habits of not tracking my money and just wasting it. I've seen sainsburys as a second income and in my brain just thought "oh money"

    Main job £9.60 - £1304PM
    Sainsburys £9.50 - Average £500PM

    I know you're not ranting at me :smile: but I do need to get a better SOA. I will do this tonight. It will definitely give me a clearer view of outgoings etc. I know households bills etc are around £600PM. My OH pays towards the bills yes.

    You've also reminded me, I need to shop around for better pet insurance!

    Thanks for the little kick up the bum, even if not intended. x

  • I'm very glad to hear it's 14 hours days not 19 - still too long to be ideal - but definitely better than the alternative!

    I think doing a new SOA is definitely a good idea - we all need to go back over things from time to time and track down the oddments that tend to creep up over time.

    haha must admit I saw 19 hours and thought yikes I thought my working pattern sucked! I think as long as your content with how things are and assuming this isn't a long term fix its a do-able thing provided it is giving you the debt pay-off in return. I agree with Frugal too you have to also try enjoy life too and create memories. I think sometimes I struggle with reminding myself of this though too so can't really preach haha.

    A budget review is always a opportunity to re-focus.

    Ok, so you can see I have £669.96 left over but I've had to get a whole new set of tyres of my car beginning of this month that set me out at £256.

    I also don't inclue my OH in the debt as it's MY debt, we pay half of the house hold bills each.

    Hi Jade,
    Could sainsburys wage get put into a different account, that might help you keep it separate for paying debts and emergency fund.

    @Parkyp

    I recently opened a Starling account, so my plan is to set up a savings goal in there and put Sainsburys wage in to that account

    Haha, I think it was you who mentioned it to me before. So I set one up and forgot to use it :lol:

    Yes, I think so also! I'm hoping sainsburys keep me on (fingers crossed) then I can pay my debts quicker and then eventually leave my main job!
