You'll get there, Jade, & I have to say I don't think you'll ever get into debt again. It's wonderful paying off the final chunk, making every penny you earn your own at last.
Best wishes for 2022 & lots of paying-off.

  • The dreaded lurgy has caught up with you! I’ve put aside 5 holiday days at work to take if I need to self-isolate with this nonsense.

Just reading a post from today and thought I don’t ever recall you mentioning you checking all 3 CRA’s to ensure all data correct etc. Have you done this?

It has indeed. Although I feel fine, so only 6 more days to go

Uh no, I don't even know what that is? How do I go about this?

    Afternoon all,

Not much going on today just chilled day. Sainsburys has had a payrise so now from March I'm on £10PH but between 4am and 7am I'll be on £12.25. which is more than my current job.

Good news with the pay rise.

There are some free Credit Brokers that link in to the 3 main Credit Reporting Agencies (Transunion/Equifax/Experian), if you haven’t already it’s worth signing up and checking each one to ensure all data held against you is correct. You might even find a 0% balance transfer option.

    Credit Karma - Transunion reporting
    MSE Credit Club - Experian
    Clearscore - Equifax

So, due to me being off with covid until Wednesday at my main job my boss has put me in as sick for holiday which is fine. BUT, what's annoyed me is that its unpaid. Yet Sainsburys are paying me in full for being off.

Sick pay is at the discretion of the company and will always be outlined in the Contract of Employment. Statutory sick pay isn’t worth the paper it is written on! Sainsburys do well for things like this.

And they wonder why people go in to work when they are sick!!!  I'm retired now but when I was working they cut the sick pay down from 4wks to 1 week.  The number of people who came in to work after that when they were really too sick to was not good.  There were not many of us but a couple of us used to say don't come near me & I'll make my own coffee (even though it's your turn).  I think it cost them more in lack of co-operation & productivity than they saved in sick pay.
I was thinking what about your career progression  that you may not have with Sainburys but sometimes that matters less if they are nice to work for.

Exactly, also. There's no career progression at my main job anyhow, I really enjoy working for sainsburys. Its Super early mornings but I get the rest of the day to myself!
