It’s so nice having money to pay bills when normally would have just put it on the card and worry about it later. I don’t think you’ll ever get into debt again except for big purchases cars etc. You’re so young and realised all your wages is going on debt that you probably can’t remember what for. I was in my forties before I realised lol.My son is so good with money, he likes to save and have money in the bank, think that might be more a male thing as all my nieces money burns a hole in their pocket and buy anything just because the can 🤣🤣.2

Forgot to say that’s a good water bottle, I’m guilty of not drinking enough water.1

Hi Jade,
I’ve been absent for a while as been super busy so just caught up on your thread. The name change certainly threw me for a moment!Great news with the F&F’s, any reduction in debt is a positive.
I do have to ask the question....the money you have from Sainsburys is money you didn’t have before so are you treating this as such and using 100% of it towards your debts or are you dipping in to it to ‘survive’ without the need to utilise further credit.
the reason why I ask is because I always like to play devils advocate and ask the question ‘what if’......so....what if you aren’t kept on at Sainsburys. What is your contingency plan?
£3,600 / 9 months of year remaining = £400pm, providing you maintain your 12 hour Sainsburys contract Sainsburys alone should clear this by Xmas 2022?
Have you looked in to alternative jobs (full time) that you could apply for?If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing2 -

Yeah had to change it apparently.
I'm rounding money down at the moment, at first I did rely on sainsburys money to get me through. But what I've been doing now is for example I get paid £548 I'll transfer £400 to my debts keep the £148 in my savings just incase, if I don't use that I then pay it back to my debts. If that makes sense?
I'm really hoping I do stay on with Sainsburys, I really enjoy it. Currently no plans, my main job is going up to £10PH, I've not looked at any other jobs as I've not even thought of a "back up"
Yes that's what I'm hoping. But I have put in some F&Fs, I know aqua are willing to negotiate and Vanquis are in the process of getting back to me.
No I haven't, mainly because I know my main job is secure. I wouldn't even know what else to apply for that I would enjoy. I'm just awaiting to hear from Sainsburys now so if they offered me over time all the time and told me they're going to keep me on I would look to pay as much debt if not all of it off before leaving my main job.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards. It’s a tough one trying to have self discipline for sure. I give myself £150 per month to live off after bills, fuel and food which invariably leaves me with anything from £1,000 - £2,000 spare each month. It is incredibly difficult to stick to such a strict budget but it is doable.
I’ve had to send off a form to HMRC this month as when I checked on government gateway next years tax code they had assumed by very short stint at Sainsburys over Xmas was permanent, pushing me in to the higher tax banding. Gah.
The thought process behind asking you if you’d considered other full time jobs was purely because I know how challenging living your life getting up at 2am/3am each morning on a long term basis can be. My whole entire attitude to life now is health and life comes first over work, a work-life balance is worth more to me than money.
Fingers crossed with Aqua and Vanquis 🤞If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

Fingers crossed with Aqua and Vanquis 🤞Ah ok, agree it is challenging but it means I get the rest of the day to myself. Which I enjoy. Afternoon all that follow/lurk!
Originally there wasn't over time for this week with Sainsburys but the manager who I speak with a lot just asked me could I work a shift tomorrow. I said yes, plus the wage is now £10ph but £12.45 between 4am and 6am. So works out good for me.I really hope they keep me on I enjoy working there. I'll find out in 26 days!
Also, I'm going to phone Vanquis after work and offer a F&F as they take ages to reply via email.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe boards and spending & discounts boards.
