We've been on holiday, so no freezer/larder progress for a while. My spare supplies (against a power cut, bad weather, accident or illness) came in useful as DH had run out of something he likes and of course most shops were shut yesterday. I've replaced it but I need to give a bit more thought to filling that cupboard.
Mainstream stores came in useful yesterday as I was able to make soup with what we have in (two portions left for future use). We've topped up fresh fruit, cleaning supplies and a few oddments today but the freezer hasn't been touched. I've also discovered that my favourite curry sauce has an ingredient that DH is trying to avoid, and I have two jars in store. I might end up with portions of curry in the freezer for work meals.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Have we all ground to a halt with using up/restocking freezers and cupboards?! I don't seem to have made significant inroads, but my emergency store is sitting in an upstairs cupboard with a few useful things that can be eaten (or lit) if the power goes off. I must have used some freezer stocks too because I've added a couple of packs of salmon, one of cod and one of lamb, and taken out ham for sandwiches. I've also used up a packet of cous cous which to my surprise went out of date in January. It tasted okay though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
