Managed to save it this morning. Not quite the optimum setting point, but at least not bending the spoon anymore when trying to scoop it out! And still tastes yummyIt's good for the soul to walk with your soles on the soil.3 -
Hi, bit late in the day but going to join in as I try, once again, to eat out of the freezer. I currently have two freezers and being mindful of fuel costs am trying to get that down to one. It's so difficult though because if I see a bargain in it goes! So today-
Out - diced lamb in gravy from a roast to use for shepherds pie, peas to put in the pea and mint mash
In- will have to freeze lots of peppers that I saw in a bargain fruit and veg box at the supermarket. For £1.50 I got 2 red onions, iceberg lettuce, a cabbage, bowlful of plums about 5 lb of potatoes and 8 peppers (various shapes and sizes).
Can I just ask about the fenugreek seeds in bread please. Do you put them in the dough or just on the top?1 -
I mix it in with the dough before i add the water and oil. I started with a heaped tablespoon for a full loaf and it gives just a hint of flavour.oceandreamer said:Can I just ask about the fenugreek seeds in bread please. From allotment in: steamed beetroot, blackberries, blanched green beans, blanched pointed cabbage. The gooseberries still needs topping and tailing before going in.
Out: rolled shortcrust pastry for lunch tomorrow, making tomato galette from tomato harvest.
