Empty shelves in Morrisons

My wife went shopping this morning in Morrisons and found that most of the shelves were empty!

Definitely a large exaggeration again .Certainly where not empty yesterday , neither where other stores .2

Same in Aldi yesterday. Lots of gaps on shelves in the afternoon, but there are a number of reasons,Weekend, bank holiday, swapping stock from Christmas goods and most people are back to work today so lots of stocking up yesterday.0

I just think the claim that "51 shelves in every 100 was empty" (which is essentially the claim being made) is overegging the pudding a bit. Fresh aisles maybe. Did she look at the entire shop?1

I meant "comparatively" not totally emptynoticeably too - even compared to the last brexit caused year of empty shelves0

There are (according to the news) 1million adults self isolating. There is a shortage of teachers in schools, refuse collections are delayed as council have no staff to collect, medics are brought back early from annual leave, and so it goes on.....
Maybe you missed the pandemic?

I know there was a load of reporting in press, but I never saw anything like the photos in our Morrisons, Tesco, M&S, Lidl, Aldi or Iceland.4
