Same in Aldi yesterday.  Lots of gaps on shelves in the afternoon, but there are a number of reasons,

Weekend, bank holiday, swapping stock from Christmas goods and most people are back to work today so lots of stocking up yesterday.

I just think the claim that "51 shelves in every 100 was empty" (which is essentially the claim being made) is overegging the pudding a bit. Fresh aisles maybe. Did she look at the entire shop?
  • I meant "comparatively" not totally empty
noticeably too - even compared to the last brexit caused year of empty shelves

What "brexit caused" year of empty shelves?
I know there was a load of reporting in press, but I never saw anything like the photos in our Morrisons, Tesco, M&S, Lidl, Aldi or Iceland.
