I couldn’t be there when they took my first car away (to the car park in the sky) - had to let DH deal with it. Just too sad!!

Oh dear poor Ted 😢 I cried when I sold Eric the mini Mayfair but I was just moist eyed with Geraldine 🙄
I’ve been sensible today, after a packing nightmare (don’t want to wear the OTT black tie dress I own, just a little black dress) I went and tried to buy one. It’s seems they don’t exist anymore, so I went round best friends and pinched some of hers to try and bingo! One brand new black satin smart dress, tags still on 😬
I did however spend some money and took the plunge for the first time in years and booked tesc@ delivery saver, anytime for a full 12 months! £88 but I used £15 of club card vouchers. I HATE food shopping (and cooking really) 😆 so I’m hoping this will make life better, if I do 2 x shops a week it’s 60p a go, much cheaper than taking the gas guzzler and that’s without overspending while there. It’s quite grown up I think really 😁
Lovely day with friends yesterday punting in Cambridge which was really enjoyable if a bit hot, then a pub lunch. Nice to do something different and get together which is not always easy. We must be getting old though, it’s days out not nightclubbing for birthdays now 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -
Phew very hot already again today 🥵 We are off on our cruise today, Norway (again 😆) and Denmark, looking forward to it being a bit cooler than here.I’ve been trying to be a lot more careful with spending in the last week or so, booking the delivery saver from tesc@ is helping a it I think. I’m going to try for a twice weekly £40-£50 shop. I always found winter cheaper than summer dinner wise, lots of slow cooker meals 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2

I don’t think I’ve ever been away so long from mse! It’s just been very busy and I’ve not been doing the best at being organised or coping well with stuff really 🙄
The cruise went well, Copenhagen was amazing as was the sculpture park in Oslo I wanted to see. The ship was very very busy though, perhaps school holidays made a difference, so that was not so great. It’s dh’s 50th today and we are in Salisbury for a couple of nights, not sure what we are doing tomorrow yet except the cathedral.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
