Ooh not sure where my reply went as I wrote one out days ago!Yes GP, that’s what I’m sneaking in already, fairy lights and candles (mainly battery ones), make everything feel cosier 😊
Unusual day today as I’ve been out with my husband! This is a rare occurrence this year really as he’s so busy 😆 we went for a drive to a town fairly nearby that is closer to ds2 now, about 25 mins away. Popped into a charity shop and bought nothing - flipping expensive 😳 then bought lunch at the cheap pub £18.94 for both of us incl drinks, not money I should have spent I know but it’s been a very long time since we went out together. Then I got dh a free hot chocolate and cream from gre99s with my app as I get a free one a month via car insurance perks. Also got my little car mot’d ready to give ds1 who is having it for when he passes, he did offer to pay for it but as it passed I said we would, it may have been a different story if it failed 😆 anyway that will come from the car fund.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
definitely needed to spend that considering how little time you get to spend together

Dh’s new job comes with a van (a big van that takes up half the drive 😒) it’s for work only but he can use it to commute too so no need for two cars, we just have the electric one now. It’s not saving anything really as dh was paying for the electric ones bills previously through the business but now I am, plus it now has road tax. My little car was very cheap to run but not really needed, ds1 is learning so I said he can have it. I suggested it might struggle going to Leeds all the time (they usually get the train) as it’s a 20 year old one litre Aygo, but he thinks it’s all fine 🤣 will splurge a few hundred on the other two kids further down the line as I like to even things up, luckily it’s wasn’t worth much though!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2
