Thank you for sharing your holiday with us. I have never been on a cruise but am getting a feel for it from what you have written. I can really see the appeal of not having to keep packing but getting to see lots of different places. How are you finding this week with a larger group vs last week with just the two of you?3

Maybe build a vision board with what you really want in your next home - including top few non negotiables - then see what can be adapted in your current place - and where it fails
happy cruising !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks lady that’s a good idea 🙂
Ramouth, today was not the day to ask that question 🤣 Aunt has been making comments to wind mum up and mum has told her she’s very annoying to be with so aunt left and went to her cabin 🤦♀️
To be honest it started fine when they arrived but has gone downhill now 😳 they all what to do whatever they want to do ie. “We are going here you can join us or not” whereas dh and I are more along the lines of what does everyone fancy doing whether that’s alone or on a group. They both text to say they are ok now but I checked on aunt and she’s refusing to go for dinner later. Nobody as actually asked me this week except dh what I might like to do 😂 suffice to say they don’t know we booked two more cruises…
I would also warn Ramouth that aside from taking my family on a cruise there can be other irritations to take into account, its not all plain sailing ⛵️ 🤣 this one has had what felt like more people and also felt a bit more “all inclusive holiday” type vibe than traditional. We have still enjoyed it mostly as getting off in different ports is interesting -good or bad. You can spend an awful lot or not that much for an identical cruise depending on the cabin choice and when you booked it.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
That sounds perfect to me ng lol. We had several holidays with the daisy in laws and often a daisy brother in law where nobody would say what they wanted to do. Oh, I don't mind, whatever you are doing we'll just come, oh you pick aaaaaagggghhhhhh make an effing decision!! You can't possibly always want to do what we are doing you're 35 years older than us you MUST want to occasionally do your own thing aaaagggghhhh. So stressful. Id love it if they'd said we are doing this join in if you want or do your own thing 😉 . Thered have been no arguments or tense silences in the car 😆
Just as well we are all different 😀
Yes do not tell them they can book a cruise on a cruise!

😆 Also stressful I guess Daisy! I think part of the problem is we went for fixed dining at 8.30pm for the second week and it’s too late for me now, I’m barely awake by the end of the meal sometimes 😂
I’ve felt really ill since yesterday evening 😩 a fever and very achey, I’ve been in bed all day, I hoping I can muster up the energy for the flight home, I feel bad getting on a plane like this but I have a mask so will wear that, but there’s not an option so stay another day or so and recover 😳MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -
half eight???? Thats nearly bedtime!!!! Yes that would not suit us at all, we like our tea at teatime ie 5 o clock. I'm out tonight, meal booked for 7 (blue shrieky face), whaaaaat ? Wish I'd said I would book it lol, they'd all have to arriving at restaurant now 😆

Usually we are happy to eat at around 7/7.30 if away, but with long days in the heat walking and I’m on a lot of tablets now it’s a different ballgame!Back home now, dil and ds2 (mainly dil…) have looked after the cats and the house is clean and nice to come home to ❤️ I’ve sent her £50 as a thank you, I don’t usually as they live here, but I left them the card to buy food for the last two weeks and they bought cat stuff. They do normally buy their own but I’ve taken over the last couple of months while they are buying the flat.Today is a year to the day I had my open heart surgery for a new valve, can’t believe it’s a year already 😱 the day before when I went into hospital I did a photo of dh and I outside of Bart’s (bit weird I know but I was trying to keep it smiley and positive 😆) to send to family and I had a look last night and noticed dh is significantly greyer than he was a year ago 🤣.Anyway, back home now, I’m on the second wash and am off out to hospital for a check first thing then I had the choice of unpack (there’s a lot!) or go out with best friend for breakfast, shops and a catch up, so obviously the latter won 😬
Ds2 and dil are seeing a double showing tonight of final destination which I would love to go to but may well sleep through the second new film.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
Wow, can't believe that was a year ago 😱! I think you can forgive DH a few greys, he's had a tough old year as well!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
