Could you log in and see your utility estimate online? Failing that, if you're currently on the price cap then multiply your previous payment by 1.54, as I think it's gone up 54%?
    Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

That is what I did.  I have given up trying to access British Gas although I did finally manage to access my 31st March bill.  As long as you current DD is realistic that should give you a ballpark figure.

Thanks guys, I can’t see the new recommended payment amount but I think it’s around £460 by my usage including running the hot tub, which will probably just be for the spring /summer!

I know it probably seems terrible running it still but it’s such fun and we don’t go out anymore really unless we are away. I’ve tried to make a few changes like reducing my baths and having more showers (I LOVE baths!) and using the slow cooker and cooking everyone’s dinner again, them cooking is great in theory but they all cook different things at different times.

I have booked a night away tomorrow, we are getting the honeymooners from Heathrow sat night so have booked a “secret escapes “ hotel near St Albans £69 instead of £150 so cheaper than the premier inn, will just have a wander and visit the gardens and cathedral hopefully.

You could combine the hot tub and bath 🤔🤣!

Busy weekend! The hotel was in Hatfield and I would highly recommend it, very new and modern with lovely staff (The comet hotel) it was on a roundabout which was a bit funny but a handy location as we walked to a great Wetherspoons and then the cinema to watch operation mincemeat, sadly using real cash not our passes as it was the odeon 😩 then we visited St Albans on the Saturday which was great, we did the park and cathedral and had a wander around the town and a pub lunch before heading off to Heathrow to pay about a thousand pounds a second to park 😡 still unsure if we have to pay the ULEZ ( the car is definitely liable) but the route is not clear, you can see is Heathrow airport is a stand alone ULEZ zone from 2022 but I’m not sure when, You can pay but not check if you should!

Today we went with ds2 and dd and partners to see fantastic beasts and then had lunch after which was average and not cheap really! Dd tried paying but we split it three ways. I’m still tired and get worn out walking so have just come home had a bath and gone to bed to catch-up with the finances and watch tv in peace 🙂 hope everyone had a good Easter 🐣

I used to vote at the Comet - that's how close it is to where I used to live (was very convenient for studying at UH too)! I haven't been in since it's been done up though, so glad to hear you had a good stay!

Heathrow parking/ULEZ sounds very confusing. Did the honeymooners have a good time?

Wow that’s a coincidence! It was a lovely room and such a good offer.
Can’t believe I’ve been awol again so long, life is a bit chaotic at the moment, no real reason I’m just disorganised and have been spending too much 🙄 the honeymooners have mixed reviews about their cruise 😆 they had an inside cabin no window (as it was basically half the price) which was dark, and the food apparantly was terrible - it was the regal princess which we went on last year and it was great 😂 and too many old people - which they very much knew! Oh and they ate in just the buffet until the penultimate night as they didn’t know they should go to the main fancy dining rooms and they hadn’t listened to me, plonkers. That’s said they loved some of the stops like santorini.

I’ve a very long to do list today, trying to catch up and get organised as I’m off to York on Tuesday taking a friend for her 60th, we met when the kids were in infants school together and she’s so lovely. I’m a bit worried about checking the finances as I’ve gone a bit crazy, back later to tackle it all 😱

I think a wedding is a good reason for a bit of financial mismanagement.  How are you feeling now? Fully recovered?  I was tired for several weeks after Covid.

    Haha thanks ladygnome 😁
That’s funny I actually still do get more tired than usual, and have a cough first thing in the morning although I didn’t have much a cough when I had Covid, strange! Hope you are all better now 🙂
