Only one out of five of my children is married and i ended up buying three dresses as i kept changing my mind , luckily they were all very reasonably priced but i have to say i found choosing a dress so difficult ,i spent hours and hours looking nearly drove me crazy
  • Your dress sounds beautiful. My mum got herself a fifties style tee length dress with polkadots for my brother's wedding which she wears to almost every wedding, it's been 10 years and it is still fabulous.

I spend on my cc as well, makes things so easy. Plus I get cashback as well so I'm counting it as good money management.

Oops it’s been ages again 🙄

I’ve wasted days looking tryharder 😆 KP I nearly went with polka dots how funny!

Busy day today, it’s my birthday tomorrow and mother in laws the day after so I collected her and took her for afternoon tea near me, bad choice of day due to the tube strike, it took most of the day to get and return her 😩 ds2 had a second job interview this morning in our town which was gridlocked too, he ended up running through town for ten mins while I was stuck 😆 he did make it in time and get the job though so all good in the end!

Finances I’ve no idea, I shall hopefully have time to have a look tomorrow! For now I need to rest up after an afternoon of cake and an evening of pancakes round my friends house 😁

Oh no ,thats not so good ..How much do you have to start your MC ? Have you looked on your local selling sites ? Maybe buy something slightly bigger rather than looking for smaller items in CSs..

    Happy Birthday

Thanks everyone, nice day today. Ds1 had the day off so wanted to take me for breakfast (except I’d already had mine so I watched him instead 😆) then popped to see my parents, a lunch out with best friend then a visit after work from dd who had got me a Harry Potter themed afternoon tea to do to with her and her step daughter to be 😬

Not so good was the parking ticket I got today through the post for parking outside a small retail park when I took dd for a catch up in the Costa in next there 😩 £100 reduced to £60 if paid quickly, didn’t even see the signs but it was free parking but number plate recognition and we went 21 mins  over the allowed 2 hours, it’s seriously annoying!

Glad you had a nice day NG, but a rubbish present in the post (I usually get my car tax reminder through, but at least I've learnt to expect that!). Are the signs actually there? Is it worth contesting? (I've not looked at that part of MSE in a long time, so it might not be, but worth a check.)
