I'm a bit late to the party NG, but belated happy birthday wishes to you 🎂
I would say challenging the ticket is worth a punt if you've not already coughed up for it. In my old job, my boss called a meeting at a place like that and all of us (about 5 people) got a ticket as we'd exceeded the time limit. He gave us a screenshot of his internet banking to show he'd spent money there and asked us to challenge it. I remember thinking "This'll never work" but it did - every single one of us got it waived, despite the fact we'd clearly outstayed the wait time and we'd all laid claim to the same £40ish spend. I had been looking forward to claiming for the ticket on expenses, so I was a bit disappointed with that outcome 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!3 -
Thanks for the birthday wishes guys 🙂 I’ve spent ages getting through to n@xt (I was in the coffee shop there) the manager is ringing me back today to discuss but I’ve been told they won’t do much probably, oh well! The boys are all heading off to Prague right now for ds2’s stag do, fifteen of them including dh, my little brother and ds2’s fil to be who nobody wants to share with as he’s such a handful , even his own son is refusing 😱
The hen do is much quieter, they are going clubbing up town and having a night by tower bridge, dd will probably stay here a night or two while her fiancée is on the stag perhaps, she’s on,y going to part of the hen as she’s so busy. I’m trying to persuade her to see Batman Saturday morning but she’s overwhelmed with mountains of work at the moment.Off to dil to be’s wedding dress fitting today, a horrific drive from our side of London furthest east to the other side, not looking forward to it too much if I’m honest, although I’m sore the dress part will be nice 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -
Belated happy birthday!
Next might not be the same company that operates the carpark so you might need to check that.
I imagine it's a pain with the driving especially after all the stroke disruption but I hope you enjoy yourself!2 -
Thanks KP, it was a long return trip but went ok, we need to return in two weeks after it’s been adjusted but it’s so last minute 😱 plus the cost was eye watering!Next rang and and said the manger is contacting the car park people but they doubt they will do much, worth a try though.
Tomorrow I’m taking dd to the shops so she can get travel bits for a work trip and then out for lunch, wanted to try and get some bits to donate to the a local place that’s collecting for a delivery to the border of the Ukraine next week, all the shops seem to be low on the medical stuff they have asked for though. Will look again tomorrow. I also need to get some diesel, it’s now hit £1.80 at our local garage!Time to update last months finances too 😬MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -

Thank you 🙂 not sure how I’m scraping by at the moment but I am 😆
Stag do is as could have been predicted really, dh went to a club last night with most of the lads and one had his drink spiked that he was bought by a stranger 😱 I mean how drunk must you be to accept a drink off a stranger in a Prague club in the early hours! Dh had to pay for an ambulance £300 and take him to hospital, he’s fine now they let him go very quickly, not sure dh was too impressed though.Dd is probably moving back home until her flat goes through, it’s only been about eight months now waiting 😱, she can’t take living with her fil to be anymore. As her old room is now ds1’s she will have to go in the box room with an air bed, I think fiancée will be round every night for dinner too, looks like completion date will be mid March.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2
