Finally I can use the cc today, however as I was out yesterday I did actually use it hoping it wouldn’t go through until today and it didn’t, so £39.89 spent already, on postage bags for vint@d , top up shop round the corner of cat litter and loo roll as we were desperate and a few cleaning bits from home bargains. So £510.11 left for 28 days which is £18.21 a day.I have a 10% off voucher for Lidl to use, so do I do a bulk shop of non fresh bits or do a normal shop? It’s tempting but I worry I’ll run out too quickly as we do have a habit of of it’s there it gets eaten 😆 perhaps a normal shop with a few extra bits.
Another item sold on vint@d yesterday, £9.50. I’m very lucky as we have a shop that takes the parcels and you can print your own labels off a few doors away round the corner, so I can pop round daily. Also another survey done and I’ve messaged my brother about cashing in my crypto i bought about three years ago (he sorted it for me) I spent £250 on it and it’s been worth very little since 😂 he thinks it will be about £50 odd after fees, a lesson learnt there! I’m not usually a gambler but the thought of a big rise had me hooked and he invested before me and made big gains which have still broken even.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -

The 10% off always seems exciting, but never seems to add up to very much even when I really try to stock up. So I think I end up spending more in the short term, even though I do end up using it all eventually. I guess spending 90% isn't that different to spending 100% - it just feels like it should produce more of a saving!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

I know what you mean sc 😆 the pressure to get maximum discounts is too tempting though!Urgh, what a dire weekend so far 😩 I have a very stressed dh who as far as I can work out ‘may’ have handed in his notice, he thinks that’s how it’s come across anyway?! he’s all over the place at the moment and it’s quite hard work out what he wants and what this means for us financially if he does suddenly go. To top of off his dad has just rung (well at 3.20am) to say his younger brother has had a meltdown of the destructive type at home and they have had him arrested 😱 all very odd as his brother is the one that helps them out and stays there a lot and is very quiet and chilled out.So as you do, dh has gone to work now when what he really needs is a rest, I’ve given up trying to sleep now so thought I’d have a moan on here and the catch with some diaries 🙄MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

Thanks guys, well thanks to my new hobby of listening to the ghostly “uncanny” podcast I did have a listen for a while and then drop off again, I’m no spring chicken any more and I need a decent nights sleep 😩
Dh is still at work but we won’t ring his parents yet as they may be asleep and also as this is one for dh to deal with I think, plus apparently they think they may have Covid, but don’t test, which we still try to swerve especially with ds2 living here with asthma, so it will probably be a call not a visit. I think it’s his brother he needs to speak to!
I would think not much is happening here today now, i might make a nice slow cooker dinner for everyone as it’s Sunday and I have lots of frozen chicken. I’ve got three more parcels to post too 😬 I’m around £130 sales on vinted now roughly, I’ll check later and add some more things. This might be the start of a whole new money making venture perhaps, I love the idea of selling second hand clothes so maybe there’s a way to look into that.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

Hope things sort themselves out.
I know people who pick up items from charity shops just to sell on Vinted. I am not that much of a fashionista that I know what are good makes, but might be worth doing some research, checking items out in the charity shops and then seeing how much they sell for on Vinted.4 -
i sometimes watch charity shoppers on reels who do just that. The key is knowing the brands but I think it could be done. My sister made a study of a china brand, patterns sold prices etc on a spreadsheet for 3 months before starting a business selling just that, she watches ebay sales like a hawk, snaps up anything under priced and resells.
I can see you could do similar with just a few brands that appear in charity shops. I've often thought about that too!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3
