I've been on the forum for 15 years and have never heard of this challenge until today, thanks to an article on AOL (https://www.aol.co.uk/lifestyle/money-saving-1p-challenge-enables-113546263.html).  If there is one for next year I'd love to join.  I do love a good challenge

October and November have been added to the pot.
Just the adjusted amount (£55.69) to make it up to the full amount before December is done and I am definitely signing up got the challenge next year, if it continues. This is going towards my house redecoration fund in the spring.

Finally braved the -6 conditions (!) to head into town - and paid in my last instalment.
    Mission complete!

    1. So to recap - I allow myself a cash allowance each week of £70 and anything left from that goes into my 'Treat' account. That is for cheeky takeaways or meals out with friends to save me using a credit card. That is where I have been saving the amounts from.
    2. I also have an extras account for things like paying for repairs or services where you need to pay off £100 or so.
    3. And I have my 'Buffer' account which is currently just under 3 months but ideally, because I am a freelancer, that ought to be between 3-6 months.

So... I have decided that... I need to top up my buffer first and foremost. So I will transfer that over and that will go a long way to having a full three months buffer to hand for big expenses.

Now - where do I sign up for 2023?

    Hello everyone! #13 here!

So sorry I haven't posted recently but I have been (virtually) potting away every day and have just popped in my last penny and can declare £667.95 saved for the 4th year running!
