There is a little bit of progress to report!
It turns out that our seller lady already found somewhere / got an offer accepted three weeks ago, and no one told us about it haha! Unfortunately it's not the end of the chain yet, her sellers are very much actively looking now though (in Worthing), so fingers crossed we'll get a chain together sooner rather than later6 -

In other news, our adjusted mortgage balance (actual mortgage minus the house move savings pot) is now under £30k! It actually makes me quite excited not to take on a huuuuuge mortgage moving forward (i.e. one that's not much bigger than the one we started off with for our current flat)3
