Just checked loan balance and decided to pay another 4.26 to take it under the £3k mark… just means one less treat this month, but I’m so busy, I don’t think I’ll notice!

Busy day again for me, working until 8 this evening. Partner is picking up shed this evening so I’ll finally be able to sort outhouse at the weekend and get my exercise bike back that has been at my parents for a year! Right I’m off to update signature… once mortgage is paid, I’ll have another chunk to put on CC, just working out how much needs to go into tax savings to cover bill first.

    Feeling positive!

I’ve realised what my problem is… I want to save, spend and pay off debts at the same time… I need to limit myself in each category as none of them are going to move that quickly otherwise.

    So… rethink.
Debt payments £700 a month min (£500 loan and £200 CC) I’m going to fire all extra at CC for now as that has higher interest.
Savings: tax £500 a month ready for bill where it all goes! £100 a month emergency savings (nearly at £1k) already so hopefully won’t need to use CC again.

And then I’m going to round my account to nearest £10 each week… and the day before payday I’ll put any leftover (wishful thinking!). And have budgeted £2 a day debt payments as psychologically I need to be putting stuff on more often!

Getting there….. slowly. I’m just so impatient. Bit of sewing today as it’s raining and will probably watch coronation at the same time. And need to find fabric as making a quilt for my sister in law for Christmas I think 🙂

  • That sounds like a good plan. You’re right, you can’t pay everywhere but I think that’s a sensible split.  I also think the daily payments will make a difference x

£2 payment to CC along with £200 planned payment.

Today is a bit of cleaning and putting up shed followed by over to a friend's for a bit of crochet and catch up. Plan is NSD.

Hope everyone is enjoying the coronation weekend - I love watching all the troops!

So another rainy bank holiday means I'm starting the day with some work - the joys of being part self employed (if I work on rainy days, I can have time off on sunny days!).

Managed to get a shoe rack for £10 off faceache which I need to pick up- now we have shed, we'll be able to move bikes and have more space in outhouse bit so I am making an effort to organise a bit :)

The next few weeks are going to be busy with marking, but I hope to reap the rewards probably in August.... just keep plodding until then. £9 odd waiting to clear on prolific, seems to be taking an age at the moment.

And back on it with healthy eating and regular exercise tomorrow - I've been a bit lazy since long run last week.

  • I agree that Prolific is taking it's time... I have a similar amount pending, not had a survey for a while either.

(if I work on rainy days, I can have time off on sunny days!).

I LOVE this :) Wish I could do the same!

Another busy day today. Gym this morning followed by food shop, with hopefully time for a cuppa in between that and needing to go to work. Home to tutor for an hour before finishing at about 815 this evening! But means not much chance for extra spending during the day unless Lidl has some bargains on their isle of dreams.

    Another £2 transferred to CC.
