@LittleMissDetermined - and paperchase have a mystery box for £25. They claim £75 worth of stationary in it, so I treated myself, with my 15% teacher discount of course (although they only £20 which isn't right, but I won't complain!)

I'm having a bit of a spendy couple of days. Saw a couple of bags on vinted, couldn't decide which I liked so bought them both, but only £25 where both are brand new and cost more than that individually, and I decided I could make a decision when they arrive and always sell one on.

    Plan for this afternoon
    1) post office to send some leggings I sold.
    2) boots for suncream (if they haven't sold out!)
    3) a crochet/sewing afternoon
    4) maybe a walk this evening depending on how other half is feeling after work

Oh and I stood on the scales and have lost 3lb this week 😁 Hope you are all staying safe in the sun!

  • That's both of us seeking sun cream at Boots today :D  Congrats on the 3lb loss!

So I have applied for job today - not completely different to what I do, just a few extra hours, if I get it, I then need to negotiate the pay because I think they'll try and pay me very little.

I've been pretty good on my spending the last few days - nothing to report. Had a lovely day Saturday, brekkie with a mate followed by most of the day at the beach. Lush! Weather has turned here and we actually have some rain - much needed. Just going to walk to the post office, then I might do some making this afternoon.

  • Good luck with the job, hopefully you’ll be able to negotiate a decent pay.

Wewere promise rain, but we have had about 15 big spots and it’s stopped… at least it’s a bit cooler today

Thanks LMD - I'll let you know how it goes. It's a new challenge for me which means I'll lose an evening tutoring, so need to make sure I at least have enough to carry over.

Quiet day today - gym this morning. Stood on body composition machine, although weight is still fairly similar, body fat is down 0.8% and my metabolic age is now apparently 39 - younger than me! So slowly going in the right direction :)

Rain hit here, just general drizzle, nice to be a bit cooler.

Trying to get on top of things financially but every time I think I have a little bit to play with something else comes up - I'm hoping I'll sort my mortgage tomorrow in appointment. Must keep plodding.

  • I saw somewhere on the main MSE site that lenders are allowing longer periods to remortgage so hopefully you’ll be able to get sorted x

Paperchase delivery arrived - I love a good bit of stationary. Starting to get organised for the new school year, can’t believe it’s come round so soon. A couple of online meetings today to get my head back in the game.

Healthy eating going well, and consistently exercising either gym, walk or run each day. Although weight isn’t falling off as quick as I’d like, I am feeling better in myself and a lot less bloated.

Currently feeling positive and on top of things, long may it continue. No spend day today, I’m not leaving the house except for my run/walk later. Have a good day!

  • Well done on keeping momentum with your exercise! As long as you’re feeling better about yourself that’s all that counts :)

How did you get on with the remortgage?
I didn't realise the EPC had run out (rental property so need to remortgage) and I need to chase my latest tax return figures weren't enough, so another appointment made for 30th! Lets hope interest rates don't change too much between now and then!
