Did you move in Nov 2021, or did you already live there and just renew?Amixo3032 said:
Oh right I’m on a 12 month ast started in Nov this yrcanaldumidi said:There are 3 possible eviction routes the LL could take, and he could take 1, 2 or all 3:* S21 Notice: as mentioned much earlier this currently takes 6+ months* S8 Ground 8: For this, arrears must be 2+ months rent, so paying down the arrears below that means it would fail. But if it succeeds, the judge must award the landlord possession.* S8 Ground 10. This can succeed with any amount of arrears, but the court can then choose whether to grant the LL possession, or not. And if you convince the judge you are about to start a new job it is unlikely the LL would get possessionBut communication is key. A LL is far more likely to give you time to find a new job, or agree a payment plan, if you make efforts to discuss your situation honestly than if you bury your head in the sand....
I spoke to my landlord and he gave me a payment plan for only this months..
I haven’t buried my head in sand I am dealing with this as amongst other things too. Which is my mum she is unwell sadly
If you started in Nov, you've only had 2 months of rent and are already 2 months behind? Also if you lost your job this month, then you'd have received your last paycheck this month, so how did you get into arrears already (I'd understand finding January rent would be hard, but what happened to Nov & Dec)?
This might make it less likely the LL / LA will be understanding if you haven't already had a good track record.0 -

Amixo3032 said:But what if he goes ahead and does a s21 ? or a s8See my post (and others) regarding the 3 eviction routes. S21 is slow (and as you've just signed a new 12 month tenancy cannot be used till it eds next Nov).S8 (G 8, 10 or 11) all much quicker. Weeks not months. But since he has agreed a payment plan, it sounds like you have solved the problem - so long as you can keep to the plan. Can you?Note - you do not have to answer every single post, especially if it means just repeating yourself!

I think the issue is that you need to make the agreed payments, and at most, at sometime, you may get a statement confirming still outstanding arrears.
What other response do you expect? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing3 -
Are you entitled to universal credit to cover rent payment whilst you try to get another job?
Have you contacted them or made an application?
Sorry you are in this situation but the landlord will have costs to cover and you mentioned you do not want to be evicted.
