Yes - fairly straightforward, create an account and then log a report, there is chat support as well.

I had a similar email regarding Brilliant Energy this morning. Looking up the sort code provided in the email, it is registered to:
Prepay Technologies Ltd, It seems to be a prepaid card, so definitely fishy!
I will report it to them as well.

I received an email this morning from abdrecovery asking for money for a Brilliant Energy debt which was paid years ago. Definitely a SCAM. Beware.

I had this email yesterday, relating to Brilliant Energy, who I do recall arguing with regarding my final bill. The fact that the total outstanding has been discounted by 60% as a final offer, was a bit of a red flag. So relieved that I researched it on here.

I too received a threatening email yesterday from abd recovery on behalf of Brilliant energy asking to settle a debt - which I paid back in 2019. I have reported it to the police via the link here.

Another one here....again from abdrecovery/behalf Brilliant Energy. Originally delt with by CDS. For some reason when having delt with these people trust issues cause me to keep the proof of having settled this amount in 2019 !!  
Definitely someone is trying it on...and probably been handed the data from CDS or CDS themselves if they have since gone under and resurfaced again under a different name.

I've had it too, caught 2yrs ago with the brilliant energy / CDS finial demands 
That was all handled pretty poorly in the first place with guesses being made of my final bill
Saw this and checked out the awful website and that it was registered on the 15 dec 21,  have reported to action fraud and CDS as someones leaked my details

I also received an email from ABD Recovery this morning for Brilliant Energy. I rang CDS now Barratt Smith & Brown (BSD) and they have confirmed there was a data breach and assured me it had been reported to the authorities. I'm going to check this is the case with the ICO.

The amount on mine was correct but the thing that flagged it as a SCAM was that I agreed a lower amount with CDS to clear the debt early and plus I owed a little more than the amount CDS originally asked for which was not detailed in the amount on the SCAM email this morning.

My mum received one of these today. Thanks to everyone who highlighted this. Mums was regarding Northumbria Energy but I’ve never heard of them.Could you tell me what the ico stands for please? I’ve seen it mentioned several times.
