Hi @scrimpandsave I see from your signature you want to clear your debt by Christmas 2022. This will definitely help even if it is only tidbits 🙂

Hi 👋, just reading your diary. I’m as far as cruddy builders disappearing to isle of wight. I know it’s technically spoilers but did you manage to get some money back?

There’s not a hope of me clearing it by then 😂 lotto win aside, but hey, it’s a challenge isn’t it 👍

@scrimpandsave we took them to court and have had £1000 from them.

I have no hope of being debt free anytime soon! I'm hoping in 4 years time if I can make some extra pennies.

  • Happy new year everyone!!

I have started even though I'm not sure the challenge has but my account wanted me to have a good start to the year and today I declare £8.78.

Reading all of your posts, I don't know if I may save mine towards my 1%. May feel like I've achieved something then.
Total debt when my journey began in December 2022- £66,133.42
    Current debt May 2024- £40,064.57
    Repaid 39.42%

@outoftheviciouscircle that's an impressive start. I had to move some money from sinking funds for bits and pieces so I've tidied the pots and will do the main bank account tonight.

  • **sticks hand in air** can I join too?
Will aim to do daily as that will fit in with my obsessive checking the bank daily (or more 🥴) Will try to round to nearest fiver. This will go to emergency fund.

    Of course you're welcome @moving_forward 👋

I have fits and bursts of obsessively checking the bank account. When I don't it's because I know things are slipping and I'm starting to stick my head in the sand. Something I'm trying not to do into 2022.

  • So how does everyone keep track of their tidies? I'm trying to resist another spreadsheet but can't think of an easier method
