Good morning All.  Happy Easter to those who celebrate it, Yom Tov to those celebrating Pesach, and Happy Chocolate Festival to everyone else.  I’ve made a batch of coconut rough.  Please help yourselves.  It’s in the Hall fridge, so that it doesn’t melt.

I have a spend to declare:  another Hexegona convertible handbag/backpack, to go into my stash. This one.  £33 (and 5 coupons) spent and bought from their site on Amazon.  I swapped yesterday to the one DH gave me for Christmas, so this means I now have two in reserve.  It’s good but not as good as the one I bought in 2013 and used to death.  (I still miss that bag and wish I’d kept it/fixed it, instead of scrapping it.). By the look of things, Hexagona have started making that model again but it’s not listed on their UK Amazon site.  I will stalk it and, if it doesn’t appear in the next few months, I’ll email them.  (Thanks to Brexit, they no longer sell direct to the UK.)

What are the issues with the bag DH gave me?  The primary one is that the flaps that connect the zip to the main body of the bag do not extend all the way across the top opening.  Small things can fall out.  The base inside is also much narrower than externally, which means I’ve had to swap in a different folding umbrella, because the other one is an inch too long, although when compared on the outside it looks like it would fit.  (Take a good look at the pictures on the link.  The base has a triangle stitched down at each end, which pulls the seam inwards.  It makes it very stable and unlikely to fall over but encroaches on the internal space.)
