I have to say when I woke up this morning I felt utterly hopeless about everything.  It feels like the human race has pressed the self-destruct button and there is nothing we can do about it.  I shall be giving myself some gardening therapy tomorrow to try and clear this feeling.

Love all the projects everyone has completed.

I was on Burgh Island, Devon, when I took them last week. We were in Devon for a couple of days in half term. Hopefully, one day, I will get to stay on Burgh Island. It is where Evil Under the Sun was filmed. Agatha Christie used to stay at the hotel and write.

I'm feeling the need for some HRT. Horticultural Retail Therapy. My garden will thank me even if my purse won't!

@Gem-gem we were in Devon last weekend but nearer Torquay. Beautiful part of the world and your pictures were gorgeous.  

I have avoided the news, radio and social media today. It was making me scared and anxious. Went for a swim and steam room session with OH and DD instead. 

I did frequent many a charity shop in Devon and picked up a few preloved bargains. I will be partaking in gardening this weekend in the garden and allotment. Always feel better when I'm outside in the sunshine 🌞 and forecast is good. 

Hugs to those who need them. Enjoy the small rewards to keep us smiling and focus on the things we can control.

Gem-gem - I follow a few ladies on Insta/blogs that follow the 40's and one particular lady has just come back from staying at the hotel on Burgh Island with her husband, they both wear some lovely clothes from the era and the hotel looks beautiful inside, I'd love to go and enjoy the delights there, but I reckon it's probably way out of my budget and I don't dress  'posh' enough, but you can dream ....

I must admit I've not watched the news since yesterday dinnertime, it was upsetting me too much seeing what had happened, I really didn't think that it would have gone that far.  It's garden bin day on Monday so perhaps as I ought to get outside too.

DH and I went to Burgh Island many years ago for my birthday. We had a cocktail each and lunch and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. I bet we were the only people there who were staying in a caravan as it was the only accommodation we could afford! Lovely memory though 😊
