Morning all! Been absolutely chaotic in the shoe for a while.
Doctors report and test results finally back, it turns out the only thing wrong with me is a vitamin D deficiency!
Covid and long term use of steroids knocked my system out of wack. Anything below 20 is classed as deficiency enough to require medical attention and mine is 3. 👀
By all accounts it's something they can fix and I should hopefully be fighting fit by the end of it.
If clothing news I have purchased much.
DD2(12) needed bras (😭) and Knicks so got 3 sports bra tops and 9 pairs of knickers from the middle of Lidl at £12 for the lot. She also got 2 pairs of Preloved jeans passed down. Coupon cost for her was 6 for the bras 18 for the Knicks but they should see out the year.
DD3(5) got 1 new knitted dress, 1 second hand knitted dress and 2 pairs of footless tights/leggings plus a pair of trainers for School because now they need compulsory white ones. 🙄 Total cost under £25. total coupons 8.
DS1 (14) HAD to have an England rugby jersey at £15. But he paid himself and was happy to part with his 6 coupons it's cost him.
As for me:
1 body1 open bottomed corselette with suspenders5 pairs of stockings1 particular granny-fied quilted housecoat
Combined cost was under £15
Coupon cost was 0 as all second hand treasures!
Now if anyone wants to use the model in the photo as an image of what I look like you feel free to.... Because I can absolutely guarantee and promise you wholeheartedly that I absolutely don't!! 🤣🤣🤣as

That’s all sounds very thrifty Mrs W – although the mind boggles at when you’re going to be wearing the corset and the dressing gown together! Despite what you say, I’m going to assume that’s you in the photo 🤣
regarding the vitamin D deficiency, it should get better quite quickly – I was diagnosed with this a few years ago, and I take vitamin D tablets all year round regardless of whether it’s sunny or whether I’m outdoors much. Glad to hear that you found what the cause was, it must be a relief to know it’s something fairly simpleLife is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. PS I love your coupons record! I should really do something like this because I’m forever trawling back through posts to see what I spentLife is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.7

I have a few of those 🙄8 -
silvine cash book. 90p each. Not much difference in size to a ration book, just a little taller.

Spends to declare!
After destroying another pair of socks (I’ve been trying to wear the threadbare ones out) I popped into the jumble sale found at that TKM@xx warehouse (which I think has something to do with the American airbase 😉).I am now the proud owner of 6 new pairs of bamboo mix socks which I think means I’m down another 6 coupons.I’m hoping that these will be more durable than the last lot of cotton socks.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Good morning All
Next time I say that I'm tempted to go to a yarn show, slap me! Please! And lock me in the cellar.
Yes, I went to Unravel yesterday, and the wool fumes got to me. I took DH with me, since none of my knitter friends wanted to come along, and went a bit mad. OMG they had a lot of small, independent producers, of the sort you want to support: Garthenor, Caithness Yarns, Whistlebare, Wensleydale Longwool Sheepshop, UK Alpaca, Toft, etc. I had lovely chats with Graeme at Caithness Yarns, Tess from Whistlebare, and the chap who dyes for Birdstreet UK. (Don't remember his name but he was a deputy head teacher, who started to dye yarn to help his wife's business out and got hooked on the creativity of it. He quit his teaching job ?last year and now works in the business full time.) I spent my entire Craft Savings Account and some of my Fun Fund. Coupon-wise, I haven't worked out the damage yet but thank God that I had some rolled over from last year.
DH was meant to stop me going mad but, instead, acted as an enabler. On the plus side, he's volunteered to give me the six 100g skeins of black Sedge DK that I bought from Caithness Yarns for my birthday in August, so that's 12 coupons I haven't spent, since gifts come from the gifter's coupons. It is undyed, pure black wool from his own flock. He's also volunteered his mum to gift me the six 100g skeins of denim blue DK that fell into my grasp on the Wensleydale Longwool Sheepshop stand, as a combination of Christmas and Birthday present. (I am a difficult person for her, present-wise, since she likes gifting smelly-stuff and most of them give me migraines. Also, she was in hospital over Christmas with a broken hip, so wasn't able to buy us presents. I am grateful to her for spending her coupons on me.)
I haven't tallied up my coupon spend yet but, when I do, I'll also share some photos.

Oh, @PipneyJane, I am sitting here laughing at you, sorry, sorry!
Well, this war's been going on for several years now, so as we go into 1942 it probably makes sense to buy good quality wool while you can - who knows how long we'll be on coupons for?
I have a spend too - 3m of marigold-petal orange cotton... I want to make a couple of colourful summer tops and it really is such a gorgeous co9lour. So I must whip 6 coupons off my signature...
My Intended is helping me get on top of things a bit - we both really want me to be able to do some sewing, because it's starting to upset me now that I can't. I want to, I have fabric and ideas, and the longer I don't sew for, the more my confidence slips and then I dither and don't dare start... I want to get back to my old habits of start-cobble-finish-and-wear, even if things weren't always perfectly-done.
First though I'm making cheese savoury biscuits, so if you stick around for another couple of hours there should be some hot from the oven2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:
